When we arrived, it was ungodly hot in the unit, so we contacted the host. He told us that the AC unit had gone out about 30 min prior and the earliest the HVAC techs could come out was on Wed, 8/19. Long story short, AC unit was not fixed until it was replaced on Sat, 8/22. The host did everything in his power to fix the issue as quickly as he could.The 3* review is NOT because of the AC being out, rather the 3* review comes from many other factors. First, once the AC was restored, the unit was at the mercy of the upstairs tenant (which we were not informed of this being a downstairs/basement unit to start with). The unit had NO control over the AC in any capacity. If you don't enjoy in the mid 60's all the time, beware.Second, the only toilet paper provided was about 75% of a standard sized roll. We had to run out at 11pm to get toilet paper because no spare roll was provided.Third, the pillows provided... I don't even have words. The pillows themselves were maybe 1/4 stuffed goose down and the cases were a corduroy-type fabric and highly uncomfortable. We had to make a trip first thing in the morning on 8/18 to get pillows and pillow cases since no others were provided.Lastly, the unit is maybe 500sqft total and has limited seating options outside of the bed and couch. The outdoor area was an utter mess with limited "seating." Also, the neighborhood had a 10pm quiet time expectation.While it worked for our purpose, it could have been a lot better...
