"What a hidden gem! The owner spared no detail. The property is secluded a few miles from Volcanoes National Park amidst the splendor of a Hawaiian natural forest. Easy access in and out of the park and the neighboring village. The accommodations were first rate and the host was super helpful in providing insights into the park so that we could get the most out of our stay. Fully equipped kitchen with all of the appliances and cookware you need! Comfortable and quiet. As a bonus, we were able to witness an eruption of Kilauea! We’ll be back."

"It was advertised as a charming room with a view of a Japanese garden and koi pond. We found it no better than a low budget motel with a poorly maintained pond and a dead fish floating in it. The "kitchen" was adequate with a small counter set much too high, a tiny coffee maker, microwave and a mini fridge. There was an ice tray provided in the refrigerator but was useless because it leaked through multiple cracks. The shower also had a large buildup of hair in the drain cover."
