"Everything was amazing. The check-in was the most friendly experience I’ve ever had checking into a motel. Unfortunately, the hot tub was not working when we were there. It had just happened and they hadn’t gotten a chance to fix it. Completely understandable that these things happen but it was disappointing not to be able to use it after a long day in the car."

"It was okay. It worked for the one night we needed it. Staff were nice. Hotel was clean. Pool was small. Shades were definitely not blackout or even close to being blackout. Snack shop was not stocked well. Breakfast was not good with any of the options available (5 people, 5 opinions the same). Location was good with convenient options for different needs and wants. Overall, it was a place to lay my head without bugs (I check seams and around the bed of any hotel I stay at). Would stay there again if needed."

"This was our first trip to Des Moines and we are extremely impressed with this hotel! We are a family of eight and we reserved two one-bedroom suites for two nights for under $350. Exceptional value! Pros: -Rooms, and whole hotel, were very clean. -Excellent amenities with a shop, arcade, rec room and a large pool. -Friendly, helpful staff -Amazing breakfast Cons: - Although there are adjoining rooms, we weren't able to be placed together. We understand it was busy, though! That's it! Really no other downsides to this stay. One last thing to mention is that the hotel seems to partner with a trucking company. There were a lot of truckers staying and there's a truck lot next to the hotel property. This isn't an issue, of course. When we first arrived, though, it was late and there were a lot of guys milling around outside the hotel. For my wife and daughters, it was disconcerting. Again, nothing wrong, but definitely something for female travelers or family travelers to be aware of!"
