The room was nice - the stocked bar & fridge was a good touch. Staff were very friendly however, at the pool, we were interrupted during our nap for drink service which was annoying. The smell of the diffuser in the upper & lower lobby was VERY strong & smelled like cheap cologne & mildew. Once we had checked in, we spent some time by the pool-when we returned for our bags to go to the room, we were told someone would be along to assist up which never happened. We had to retrieve our own bags. It would be nice to have a dinner buffet for those times when we didn't want to have table service. We did not feel the Excellence Club was worth the price - just never enough lounge chairs by the Club pool. The poolside server by the name of Betsy was very kind & attentive - thank you. Overall, we were disappointed by the food which is the main reason we chose Excellence Coral. We will not be returning.

The rooms were cleaned every day. The whole entire resort was kept extremely clean. The staff were friendly, and I’ve never been to such an amazing resort. We will definitely be staying with them again.

I stayed at this property with my partner during our 10-year anniversary and engagement celebration. While the resort is visually beautiful and offers a variety of restaurants and bars, it fell short of expectations—especially for a property positioned and priced as a high-end, luxury resort. Even with the upgraded Excellence Club, the overall experience felt very average. The staff and management appeared inexperienced and lacked essential knowledge about the property. We were not provided with any orientation or information upon arrival and were simply directed to the app to figure things out on our own. The main manager, in particular, was unprofessional and dismissive, which was extremely disappointing. I travel to Cancun frequently and have never encountered this level of service. Although the property is new, that should not affect the quality of hospitality provided to guests. Overall, the experience did not reflect the price point, and I would not recommend staying here. Save your money and consider taking your business elsewhere. I also want to give full credit to the staff in the restaurants, bars, and room service. They were genuinely kind, hardworking, and provided the level of service you would expect from a luxury resort. However, the front desk staff and management were the complete opposite. Their lack of professionalism, attentiveness, and basic courtesy was unacceptable and had a major impact on our stay.

Everything is clean, beautifully decorated and homey feeling. The food was great with a few excptions like room service, we found most room service food tasted old and inedible. Beach was pristine, service everywhere was fantastic. Book a massage with Fernanda at the spa and grab chocolate from Itzel at Kakao! Stand outs for sure!

Overall it’s a beautiful property. The staff are very friendly and professional. The pools are beautiful. The restaurants are great with well designed interiors. One thing I will say is that the tiles in the rooms can get kinda slippery with some water and my wife slid a few times. Not sure there’s much they can do about that now though. Still looking forward to coming back in the future
