This place exceeds expectations with ambience, beauty and luxury. A true oasis amidst the gorgeous Zona Romantica neighbourhood. I feel like I was in awe every time I turned a corner. The staff were amazing as well. I got heat stroke while I was down there and they took such great care of me and made sure to check up on me - I felt very cared for!

We loved our stay at Rivera del Rio. Our room was great (Zelda). We loved sitting on the balcony enjoying the sound of the river and watching people go by. We also loved the rooftop pool and bar. Ruben is the best! And Victor was an amazing host and helped us book another stay while we were there.

Everything was perfect, location, room and breakfast. The only problem were the half dozen very drunk late forties early fifties people at the pool on the roof who ruined a perfect day with a perfect sunset! I feel for the barman who had to deal with them all afternoon.

Very funky hotel. We stayed in the Gabriella room (one of the generic King bed rooms) and loved it. Our view from our balcony was awesome!! We took full advantage of the pools and got a few delicious Pina coladas from bartender upstairs. Highly recommend watching the sunset from the rooftop pool. Hotel staff was all very helpful and kind and answered any questions we had. The room had very fast working AC, the shower in the washroom had hot water and a luxurious showerhead. They also provided nice bathrobes in our room which was a nice bonus. The location of the hotel was also great, I would take a walk on the Isla since you’re right beside it and see all the cats. It’s also a quick walk to soo many awesome places in Zona Romantica.

This special place is in an ideal location. Walking distance to everything in the central and romantic zones and far enough from the busy area for a quiet retreat. The rooms have views of the jungle and along the walk along the river just across the street you can find parrots, iguanas and occasionally a crocodile. Staff are friendly and responsive and rooms are spacious and quiet. We had a wonderful time here and with all we did in beautiful Puerto Vallarta.

We had an extremely unique room that made us feel like we were living in old school England. Multiple pool areas in the hotel that are each unique as well. Very friendly staff. Coffee maker was terrible. That’s the only less than perfect thing!! Property cares for two cats named Elizabeth and Francesca. Both are lovely and lay around in the lobby. Very heart warming to see. Quiet street. You can hear music from the island at night also!!
