Arrived and room was cleaned but still dirty. Bathroom door was so wedged it could not be opened or closed and was not addresssed when brought to houskeeping attention. While the workers were all nice amd tried their best i feel this resort is so very understaffed. Long wait times im restaurants to be seated while there are tons of open available tables. Waitresses are nowhere to be found during snack timings to be able to order from the counter or pool side.The buffets are frequently empty of all the popular iteams and not restocked by the time your done your meal. Reception is next to impossible to ever get ahold of. This part i understand is my fault but very frustrated that i had extreme stomach pain and deciding not to go into town to urgent care and paying the price i was shocked at the over 500 dollar bill i recieved for some stomach pills. No this really is a beautiful resort amd the pools are quite great pools but for the price i paid i am highly disappointed amd would not return or recomend this place to any friends or family

The amenities are great & thats the only reason Ive continued to come back over the years, but the food & drinks need improvement...great that a 2nd buffet was added, but it wasnt good either...i tried not to go to the dinner buffet at all, the 1 night i did go, was only because the taco truck had run out of chicken. I love the location of the hotel, away from the hustle of the city...i wish the food was enjoyable

Let me preface by saying the resort itself is beautiful. Visually, it’s the perfect blend of resort and jungle and i appreciated the many pools and lounge chairs available to all guests. Our stay started off incredible, with an exceptional room — though not super clean, there was a few remnants from the previous guests that likely just got overlooked, it was spacious and had everything you’d want. Unfortunately, mid way through our trip our entire tower (there are 6), as well as our neighboring tower lost access to running water. No showers, using the toilet or washing your hands and because the closest pool was directly connected to our waterline, it also did not offer washrooms that were accessible. Though, this is completely unpredictable and can just happen, the water remained an issue for the entire day and led into the next day. We were offered another room in a building that had running water, however due to guests from both buildings needing to relocate on top of new guests checking in, there weren’t many rooms to choose from and unfortunately we severely were downgraded from the deluxe room we paid for with no compensation, offerings, or discounts to anything the resort offered additionally whatsoever. Thankfully, you do spend a majority of your time out by the pool — but when travelling far, and paying more for the room (since it’s an option), you’d expect a bit more when an issue arises as serious as no access to basic necessities. Which changed the experience.

Very relaxing, so many pools we lost count. Staff was amazing. Taco truck was a great touch we all loved. Not much for night or pool entertainment but perfect for a nice laid back vacation.

We had an absolutely incredible stay at Marriott Riviera Nayarit, An All-Inclusive Resort. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. First, our garden view was trash piles and some type of waste water treatment facility. The staff, other than the head bellhop, was dismissive and unhelpful in most situations. Typically, we got to resorts and the staff wants to help and is friendly and cheerful. Not here. The food was limited and we struggled with our app to make reservations. We were turned away when they had plenty of open seats. Not to mention the time slots for reservations were odd and limited. The Buffett was the same everyday. There was constant noise everyone from lawn equipment and blowers. All day, everyday. It made it hard to relax by the pool or read a book. The kicker was when we were asked to depart the shuttle bus back to the hotel by the driver. We walked to the spot where we were dropped. We walked through people sitting in the resort, off the the side. Exited the resort and stood for 10 minutes where the shuttle dropped us. They arrived, we opened the door and got in. A few minutes later we were asked to depart by the driver because the other guests said they were first. There was no line. They were literally still sitting in the resort. We did get off but were flabbergasted. Upon return to the resort we felt it necessary to report the incident. In which no one care, no one apologized. The manager said she’d look into it and never followed up with us. We checked out a day early. When doing so, they asked why and I told them the above. They did not care. Do not recommend.

Clean rooms and facility. Very friendly helpful staff. Shuttle to the beach not great as it was booked so we had to go the next day. Could use more kid friendly food. Kids Club was so far away we had to take two shuttles. The leaf blowers are very loud and, although we appreciated that the grounds were amazing, the noise was so loud and sounded like a construction zone. Only one place to eat breakfast on site. The waiters in the afternoon at the upper pool site got our orders wrong every time and the food took at least 45 minutes to an hour to get.
