Overall great stay

Pros: This resort is BEAUTIFUL. Seriously. One of the best that we saw in this area (after walking the beach). The pool is 10/10. We had lunch at the pool every day with great drink service, too. It was nice for our family that we did not have to do the all inclusive package. It saved us a lot of and we really enjoyed going down to the marina every night (10-15 minute walk) for dinner. The neighborhood is extremely safe. When we got to Velas Vallarta we walked 20 minutes to the large grocery store to stock the fridge a little bit. Uber worked great & was very cheap. AC worked well. Showers were good (although leaked a lot out of the shower due how the doors hung, just put towels down on floor & shower ledge). Smart TV worked well and we were able to login to our own Netflix. Wifi was reliable.Cons: the living room furniture is MINIMAL. If you are traveling with anyone that wants to stay up in the room to relax, the couch is not comfy and the one living room chair has a broken leg. There are two small bistro chairs that are okay but again, not relaxing. This made it hard for my family to sit together in the evening to hang out. Didn't matter during the day since we were by the pool. Another 'con' was the check-in process. You will get your confirmation a day before and then 4 hours before you arrive at the resort. I was not familiar with that process and was skeptical that it was all going to work out. Once we arrived it all went smoothly and our room was ready early!
