This property was advertised as a 5 star all-inclusive hotel. The road getting to the hotel was bumpy. The moment you arrive you will smell the seaweeds and the ocean; they try to mask the smell with air fresheners which works in most of the areas. I was surprised at how limited English the workers spoke, I travel to Mexico at least twice a year and most 5star hotels have bilingual workers especially the first impression staff (front desk spoke no English). The food at the buffet was the same EVERY SINGLE DAY; breakfast, lunch and dinner nothing changed on the menu and often time it was the same food they just covered up and reuse. We were there for 7 days! The power went out every night they would use a generator on the premises because of this only one elevator seemed to work. There were a few days where the cable went out as well so there was no tv for about 3-4 days (daytime it was fine but at nights when we are in the room trying to relax it became a problem). The zipline was broken so kids couldn’t use it. The basketball court was in horrible condition. Room service didn’t clean our room for 2 days which is when I decided to say something to management. They apologize and I can honestly say they made things right. Room was being cleaned daily, they fixed the number on our door because it was missing a digit, before we left we say men working on the zipline (not sure if it got completed). The pools were clean and cabanas were free. My daughter also loved the kids club.
