From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us with genuine warmth and hospitality. The maids, servers, concierge team, and everyone on site were unfailingly kind, attentive, and made us feel like we were among friends. The resort itself is stunning. Set within a private preserve of forests, canyons, and geothermal wonders, every view feels like a postcard. The thermal river is unforgettable — relaxing, healing, and unlike anything you’ll experience elsewhere. We loved the beautiful hiking trails, restorative yoga sessions, and exhilarating zip-lining. The food was exceptional across all restaurants, with fresh ingredients, great flavours, and flawless service. Every meal felt special. A true highlight was meeting Gabriel and his father — two of the most gracious, passionate people you’ll ever meet. Their love for the land, the community, and the guest experience shines through in every detail of the resort. Río Perdido is magical in every category: service, nature, activities, food, and atmosphere. We can’t recommend it highly enough and will absolutely be returning."

"The service, cleanliness and food quality were top notch. The staff were highly professional, helpful and thoughtful. The room I stayed in had just been built. The grounds are well kept and the flowers and wildlife are beautiful as well as the amazing view from the upstairs outdoor seating area. I loved having a kettle and coffee machine in the room with tea and coffee available as well as a refrigerator and ample space to spread out and unwind. I would highly recommend this place and hope to return someday."

"You will have everything you need to stay inside this amazing location, enjoy views with a hot tub experience and nearby grocery to use the full service kitchen set up! The family/staff/grounds keepers were so friendly and provided a lot of information, we did not have the time to take them up on an of their tour offers, but we would have felt very comfortable doing so. There is a small trail option on the property, we were provided with fresh eggs, bread and jam and everyone responded quickly when we had questions. The location to shopping and food is fantastic. I can’t say enough about our experience."

"Cute property with a nice garden, hidden from the huddle and bustle of the town. There is an equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, and clean bathroom. However, the neighborhood dogs get into a shouting match anytime at night so make sure to have earplugs. It was unfortunate because I love the nature sound. "
