"Absolutely unforgettable stay at Villa Fugata. We absolutely loved our time at this home and were truly sad to leave. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the house, the attention to detail, and how welcoming everything felt.The home itself is beautiful, spacious, and spotless. The pool area was stunning and incredibly well cared for, and the extra amenities made such a difference — pool toys, games, books, and thoughtful touches like beach bags that made our stay so easy and enjoyable. Bilitis went above and beyond. She is incredibly kind, accommodating, and was extremely easy to work with. She is simply the best and made our stay extra special, we were quite impressed with the fact that there was a bottle of champagne and chocolate brought up to the house on my birthday.The location of the house is perfect with gorgeous views, close to everything, yet peaceful and quiet at night.We would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Costa Rica and would not hesitate to stay here again. "They advise that golf is included. It IS NOT. the main dinning doesn't open until 8am. If you want a coffee before 8am. You have to pay for it. The all inclusive drinks are watered down. The bus ride from airport is long, bad roads, and heavy traffic."

"The place looks very nice from the outside but the room are cheap, bed slide all Over the place, cheap plastic patio furniture, the shower had leaks along with the overhead shower head being off and shooting in all directions. Room Service was a 2 out of 10, with sandwhich that I made when I was 5 . Pool was nice, entertainment was good. Dennis wore good a staff was good. Room was not good . "

"We stayed here to celebrate our engagement, but the experience was disappointing overall. While the property itself is nice, the service was atrocious. Staff were consistently unhelpful, dismissive, and seemed poorly trained and apathetic. Housekeeping entered our room twice without knocking and we were in bed naked. When we raised it, we were told to use the “Do Not Disturb” sign—no real apology or accountability. They made it our problem and only half took accountability after we pushed back. This is a pretty serious breach of privacy, that they didn't seem to take seriously. The resort forces guests to use an app for basic requests like water and coffee, which was never explained and is poorly designed. Even worse, requests were marked as completed when nothing was delivered. After 4 p.m., service stops entirely, forcing guests to walk long distances due to the property size to the front desk for basic items. That’s unacceptable - Motels provide better service than this. Housekeeping was inconsistent at best—missing sheets on the bed one night and leaving dirty towels behind. There were a few positives: the grounds are nice, the water slides are fun, and the bartenders were great. But none of that makes up for the lack of basic service and professionalism. We were considering having our wedding at a RIU resort, but after this experience we will be going with a better option with a different resort chain"
