The most serious issue was widespread illness. Three out of four people in our group became sick, including my husband, and this was clearly not isolated. We spoke with many other guests, including entire wedding parties, who were also sick—some so severely they were transported to the hospital. In the final days of our stay, we were genuinely afraid to eat. Tragically, my 6-month-old was unwell for the last five days of our trip, and both my baby and I developed extremely itchy red rashes, which was alarming. We also lost running water in our room while my husband was sick, which is completely unacceptable. Check-out was another major failure, with constant miscommunication, our room key being deactivated early, and multiple trips back to the desk just to access our room so we could shower and get our baby ready. Cleanliness was shocking. Our sheets were never properly changed—only flipped—and I found bugs in our bed. The resort app required for reservations barely worked, leaving us unable to book restaurants unless we wanted 9:00 PM dinners, which is unrealistic with a baby. One restaurant smelled strongly of sewage, and we were stuck in the elevator twice. On top of this, my parents paid $2,000 more for a “swim-out” room that received absolutely no sun, which felt very misleading. The only positive was the staff. Eduardo with Expedia, Daniel, and Khristina were outstanding and went above and beyond. Unfortunately, aside from a few exceptional employees.

The food was a little underwhelming for a 5 star resort. Buffet was a little sketchy. My stomach was upset often. A little disappointed that guacamole was very hard to find. Staff was amazing and lots of activities for kids. Daniel the server at the pool was amazing.

The staff were amazing. I want to give a very special recognition to the on site doctor who helped me tremendously during our stay. She was so helpful, and I felt she went above and beyond to help me with an unexpected injury. The room was clean, the whole resort was spotless. All I would say is to relax a bit on asking us to fill out opinion cards. It’s non stop and gets a bit annoying. But that’s the only bad thing I have to say so that’s not all that bad.

The front desk staff charged us fee’s of $125 that they said they were not going to charge us and when we checked out they argued with us and said that they don’t know who checked us in and they couldn’t take it off but I think that’s ridiculous and they should have that in their system of the person who checked us in… my whole family got sick for 2 days vomiting a diarrhea and horrible stomach cramps due to the food.. everyone we talked to said they got sick as well… the only thing we ate was fruit and the beverages because everything was really not good . I would never book here again due to the rude front desk. Do not recommend at all

Hair dryer and shower were excellent. Housekeeping came each day. For some reason they never replaced wash clothes and had to call for replacements. The resort had a lot of activities to go to and things to do. Lots of restaurants. FYI: Something I wished I would have known before booking. If you go to see hotel staff in Prime about excursions you will get a better deal than if you book directly through the excursion booths on some excursions. Mariano at the Martini Bar is excellent. Super friendly. And Alex at scores was a great waiter.

Not once did we get everything in our room the first time ie towels, coffee, water, toilet paper. Make them a checklist if they can’t remember. It advertises as a family resort but doesn’t make clear most stuff is geared to older children. I had my grandsons 4,&7 and there were very few things they were old enough, tall enough, weighed enough etc. if you went to a restaurant without reservation everytime they were “full” yet when we started making reservations we would go through dinner and maybe 5 or 10 tables were used the whole time we were there. It appeared they “steered” you to eat the cheaper buffet. Know Spanish or have a translator. While I travel a lot this resort had very few people other than the front desk who spoke or understood any language other than Spanish. Jamaica, the DR, etc 90% could understand basic English. The service was descent, while we were there 6 days, our building had a blackout, we had no water for a time when we were trying to get cleaned up for dinner. We only had one elevator working in our end of a resort with over 1000 rooms and each of us were stuck at least once on the “working ones”. I would never go back nor recommend. There were many guest disappointment in the restrictions on children for a resort advertised as “family” and if it says open 24/7 it is not. Even in the daylight hottest part of day the ice cream store ( for kids) was rarely open. While the kids had a great time I was really disappointed we didn’t get what we paid for.
