It was advertised as adults only but it certainly wasn’t. Almost every meal and everywhere we went except around one pool we had children around us crying or screaming. We went to the resort because it was advertised as adults only we feel like we were deceived. We won’t go back.

This is not an Adults only hotel, It has adults only rooms and a pool! After a 15-hour journey, or a 70 hour stay I experienced significant delays accessing my room due to repeated issues with the room key, which required multiple trips to reception in high temperatures. The first room assigned to me had a broken bed and a persistent damp odour in the room . After further delays another 3.5 hours I was moved to a second room, which was acceptable; however, the bathroom was in poor condition, with a broken shower and outdated facilities. Despite raising these concerns, I was informed that the hotel was now fully booked and no immediate alternative could be provided. Additionally, noise from a film projected outside my room was also not what I needed. I sent an email during the night to rate my checkin experience. Only then was I was eventually offered an alternative room late in the afternoon, but as I explained the timing terrible as I was leaving to go to a wedding at another hotel. Overall, this experience fell far below my expectations and was the most disappointing hotel stay I have had in recent memory. Even on checkout as I explained my issues I was told that "some guests do not share you opinion" Once again only in my opinion I have stayed at much better and not adults only.

We stayed at Ocean Riviera Paradise in the El Beso adults-only section and overall had a great experience. The resort is a good size — big enough to explore but not so large that you can’t walk everywhere. The property is very clean and well-kept, with lots of wildlife around, which gives it a nice tropical feel. Our room was cleaned daily, and the mini bar was always restocked, which we appreciated. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout our stay, and service at the bars and restaurants was excellent. It never felt overcrowded, which made it easy to relax. There were plenty of dinner options, and we rarely ate at the buffet since the à la carte restaurants were so good. Our favorite was Blue Moon, which had great food for both breakfast and dinner, and the host there was always welcoming. A big shoutout to Lisandro, our concierge, who went above and beyond. Our mini fridge wasn’t working on the first day, and he got it fixed right away, then surprised us with a bottle of champagne and desserts. He also gave us a helpful checkout tip that saved us time and money at the airport. A couple of downsides — the beach is quite rocky, and there isn’t much space to relax by the water. Also, there are people around selling excursions and activities, but they’re never pushy and leave you alone if you say no. Overall, the food, cleanliness, and staff made for a really enjoyable and relaxing stay.

Ocean Riviera Paradise El Beso – Honest Review Overall, this resort has some nice highlights but also a few drawbacks. The rooms are spacious, modern, and very comfortable. The buffet offered a good variety of food, and the coffee shop and late-night snack bar (open until 6 am) were great perks. The margaritas at the Mexican restaurant were excellent — especially the jamaica margarita! The bowling alley was also a fun addition, even though playtime is limited to about 10 minutes per person. The main disappointment was the beach — very small, with large sandbag barriers and cloudy water that took away from the usual Caribbean charm. Entertainment was not as organized or lively as other resorts, and the prizes for games were always just a T-shirt. The shows at nights were at a much lower quality compared to other resorts. The nightclub felt more like a sports bar, and the DJ stuck to the same playlist all night without taking requests. The worst was the constant pressure to upgrade to their “Privilege” package got annoying after a while. The resort seemed to catered to Privilege guests only. In short, it’s a comfortable resort with decent food, great margaritas, and a few fun extras, but the beach, entertainment, and upselling take away from the overall experience.

I want to personally thank one staff member Lisandro for going above and beyond for making our trip extra special. It was my wifes first time to mexico and she was not happy with our room and we had some issues when we first reached out to expedia. But Lisandro turned it around and was able our stay excellent. Many staff members were also very kind. The buffet and food is actually good. Its hard for me as I do find places based on good food and they didnt disappoint. Probably the best food out of any resort Ive been too.

Pros: Nice rooms, lots of dining options with great food, great customer service at bars and restaurants. Cons: entertainment wasn’t great, not many activities or shows. Was told non motorized activities would be free but kayaking was $12pp. There was also a lot of sales people constantly trying to get you to upgrade or buy a timeshare which was annoying.

Me and my family went for our annual trip and we were very appreciative of the room upgrade to include a swim out pool. We also had a concierge, Lisandro, that was absolutely phenomenal. He assured every day that me and my family had all our needs met and if we ever needed something he was very accessible via WhatsApp with a quick response. Other staff members that stood out for their lovely service were David and Zuleyma at Route 66. Overall we had a better experience because of their kindness.

I came from Chicago to visit this resort as a 1st time out of country experience and Lisandro was phenomenal, very welcoming, and extremely helpful. Everyday I was there he delivered top tier customer service, Lisandro is the main reason I have already referred so many people to take a trip to this resort, he is just overall amazing person.Also David from Route 66 was an outstanding waiter, he was very welcoming as well, he went above and beyond to make my family’s experience the very best and he did just that. We loved the property and amenities; the staff is very professional, and the service is great in all areas. However, the specialty restaurants La Locanda & Steakhouse have very poor air conditioning inside, which makes the dinner experience super uncomfortably hot. Someone in our party even felt so bad that she could not finish the meal and had to step outside of the restaurant, it is a shame since we booked this hotel for a party of 6, and ended up having such a bad experience.

Booked the swim up pool room and loved it. Went for birthday and we told them and they sent complementary wine and chocolates and then again once we told them we got engaged! Reservation restaurants were okay but the portions are small and the buffet was not good. Same options for lunch and dinner and same every night. Only had like 2 main buffet lines that changed foods everything else was the same. When sitting at buffet we had to ask every time for water after waiting 5-10 mins. The adult side is very small. The swim up pool room is apart of adult only but they only have 1 small pool that is adults only. Literally every single thing else has kids and we were thinking it would be separate with kids and family one side and adults have their own side but no just one pool. Every restaurant but one breakfast one is family friendly so if you’re wanting separate adult and family resorts this is not that. A lot of the workers also don’t really pay too much attention and overlook English speaking families. And a lot of workers are racist. I’m white and my boyfriend is black and we got overlooked so many times even when we got to wherever before anybody else. Many times we’d be at the bar before other people and they wouldn’t come over and they weren’t busy but when other people white or Spanish speaking, would show up they would go straight to them and we’d have to ask every time to be helped and then they always had some attitude.
