"It was my first time in Costa Rica, and Chateau Arenal was our first stay. We couldn’t recommend it enough! It has a bed and breakfast feel, which we loved! We felt right at home. I wanted to go to Costa Rica to experience the culture, and I was 100% able to here. We were woken up in our bungalow by the sounds of nature and life in San Ramón, Castillo. The view from the restaurant deck as we drank our coffee in the morning was unmatched! I could have spent the whole day there! We even got to see the top of Arenal which we heard happens less often. Every meal we had at the restaurant (breakfast is included with the stay) was delicious! We had dinner there both nights we stayed. The pool and hot tub were perfect for my water-loving 7 yr old daughter. Everyone on staff was super attentive and helpful. Danielle always had a suggestion of a fun outing which most were within a 30 min drive. It was nice to come back to the chateau and get out of the hustle and bustle of La Fortuna. We would definitely recommend staying here!"
