"We were in the older part but it was clean and modern. Our fault not knowing there is no AC. Crack the window for ocean air. Perfect location for Oregon Coast exploration to the south and north. I prefer Newport to the other coastal towns as its more spread out. Great wharf. Eat at Mo's and get the chowder and shrimp ranch/garlic salad."
