Location was good but the condition of the hotel is poor. Service was not good. The ladies behind the desk wouldn't even look up when you walked in and you had to walk right past them. The price was crazy high, definitely would not recommend or stay again.

The staff at reception on the 13th at check in were great. the check out is a bit chaotic but did express checkout. the room was a good size and very clean and bathroom also big and clean. coffee was good and location for me was great as close to penn stationz the outside probably needed sand as very slippy and messy due to the snow this morning.

We were in New York City for the day and were staying the night at the Hampton Inn Manhattan Chelsea. When we got to the hotel at 10:00 am to drop off our bags I asked one of the front desk people about getting a roll away bed to our room. She said if there were any available it would be in our room. When we returned at 10:30 at night I asked again about having a roll away bed. The person at the desk called housekeeping to bring one up. When they arrived to our room they brought a baby crib. The housekeeping attendant didn’t speak English so I called the front desk and let them know what happened. She apologized and said they would send one up. She called back a few minutes later and said they didn’t have any and would send up extra comforters and pillows. The attendant came back with one pillow and one blanket. I had already been resigned to the fact that I was going to sleep on the floor and let my wife and daughter sleep in the bed. One blanket was not going to cut it. I asked him to bring up two more blankets and we needed an extra towel. After coming up twice I think he was fed up. Another attendant came and literally dropped one blanket in my hands and turned walked away fast! Wasn’t a great experience in terms of trying to make your guests comfortable. The hotel was fine, but communication amongst the staff can be improved.

The staff were very helpful and professional. The room felt more like a motel room along a highway than a Hampton Inn room in Manhattan. The quality/price ratio was lacking.
