My boyfriend and I just came back from a weekend stay in the city. This hotel was great! The room and bathroom were nice and modern, the bed was very comfortable, and the hotel was easily accessible. I would definitely stay here in the future!

Great location, easy walking distance to many good restaurants and clubs. The doormen are friendly and very helpful and our room was large and quiet with nice decor. Bed itself is comfortable enough but the pillows are terrible. Very small and squishy. The a/c cooled intermittently and went from cool to stuffily humid very quickly so unless the thermostat is set below 74, things get uncomfortable quickly. The hot water in the bathroom sink is a mere trickle and cannot be adjusted; sink also slow to drain. Small fridge held more than we expected, which was a plus. Room was not vacuumed every day and, judging by debris on the carpet, not even every 2-3 days. The hotel elevators are rickety and unreliable. This hotel is not awful but with a few tweaks could be so much better. We like staying above Times Square and the location of the Americana can't be beat. Even so, we probably won't stay here again.

Don’t book in this hotel. The refund process or changing date of your booking is horrible, at the end you will get nothing. This hotel is over rated, the interior is horrible, dirty, very noisy, you will hear people walking in the hallway, they will only offer water in the lobby and that’s it. Very HOT in the lobby, no air conditioning, in NYC, this is one of the worst hotel. don’t waste your money. Also, be careful in their bathroom, there’s this hanging metal thing that can hurt, i got hurt from it. DON’t BOOK IN THIS HOTEL FOR GOD SAKE.

Being right in the city, I expected to hear sirens and city noises at night, but our room on the 7th floor was completely silent - it was wonderful! The only thing that could have been improved was the shower. The "rain shower" head splattered out onto the bathroom floor so we could only use the weakly dribbling hand held sprayer to avoid flooding of the bathroom floor.

WiFi was good bed was king size as advertised and comfortable and shower pressure was good and hot. But….room was noisy beyond acceptable both from street and from the corridor and elevators. Hard to sleep as flashing lights from billboards right outside of room kept going all night and hard to completely shut them out. There is a bar open for a few hours in the evening but no room service and no food. The room keys operate both the elevator and the door to the room and they failed to function at least once a day. Overpriced considerably at over 600 bucks a night

The king-sized mattress may have not been changed in years or longer. It was SOFT and lumpy like the pillows. My back ached throughout our stay. We have stayed at this hotel 4 or 5 times without complaint. The clerk did not ask us about our stay. Just as well.

The atmosphere and decor were fun, but the rooms left something to be desired. Pet odor and bugs in first room we were in. Second room, the floor tiles were broken and moved under our feet, and the shower flooded the bathroom with every use, no matter what we tried.
