Algiers Point is the second oldest neighborhood in New Orleans. It is situated right across the Mississippi River from the French Quarter. The Point is a historic tight-knit community. The unique neighborhood has a beach town vibe (minus the beach). There are wonderful restaurants, cafes and bars walking distance from the apartment.

Algiers Point has a rhythm all its own - unhurried mornings, the low hum of the Mississippi a few blocks away, and streets lined with shotgun houses and corner cafés that feel nothing like the French Quarter's bustle across the water. This ground-floor studio loft drops you right into that world, with a private entrance, natural light, and a layout that makes a weekend feel like a proper escape.
Living space
The open-concept design keeps things easy and uncluttered. A 55" HDTV with Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Chromecast, Disney+, HBO Max, Hulu, and Netflix gives you plenty to settle into, and the vintage record player adds a touch of character you won't find in a chain hotel. A dedicated workspace with fast Wi-Fi is tucked into the common area if you need to stay connected. Central air conditioning, central heating, and a ceiling fan keep the loft comfortable no matter the season.
Sleeping arrangements
A king bed dressed in fresh linens anchors the bedroom area. Room-darkening shades block out the morning light when you need it, and extra pillows and blankets are on hand for a genuinely restful night.
Kitchen & dining
The full kitchen is stocked for real cooking - a Whirlpool electric stove, oven, refrigerator, freezer, microwave, toaster, hot water kettle, and coffee maker, plus cooking basics, dishes and silverware, wine glasses, a baking sheet, and a blender. Coffee is provided. Pull up a chair at the dining table and eat in, or use it as a base for a longer stay.
Bathroom & laundry
The bathroom includes a stand-up shower with hot water, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, shower gel, and a hair dryer. Fresh towels and cleaning products are provided. A washer and dryer are in the loft, and a laundromat nearby makes extended stays even more practical. Hangers, an iron, and clothing storage - both a closet and dresser - round things out.
Practical details
Self check-in via smart lock means a smooth, flexible arrival. Free parking is available both on premises and on the street. Exterior security cameras are positioned at the entry door for peace of mind. Pets are welcome - bring them along. Long-term stays of 28 days or more are allowed.
The neighborhood
Algiers Point is one of those New Orleans neighborhoods that rewards slowing down. Walk to local cafés, grab tacos at Barracuda, and stroll down to the riverfront for a sunset that never quite looks the same twice. The $2 ferry puts Bourbon Street, Frenchmen Street jazz clubs, Mardi Gras parades, and holiday events within easy reach - without the noise following you home. Jazz Fest, French Quarter Fest, and Bayou Boogaloo are all close enough to plan around.
