The Monteleone is a New Orleans institution, known for its quiet elegance and the famous Carousel Bar. The hotel is spotless, the furnishings elegant and timeless. All of the staff went out of their way to be friendly and engaging. In an area that is as tawdry and touristy as the French Quarter, the hotel manages to maintain its beauty and dignity. We thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay and hope to return. The only drawback, is that the Carousel Bar was full from opening until closing, with parties of people waiting on the sidelines to swoop into a chair the minute someone got up and left, so we didn't get to sit there even once on this trip. I think I've been able to get a seat there twice in about 40 years of New Orleans visits. The hotel has started a program whereby you can have the bar to yourself before 11 a.m. There's probably a charge for the service, but I didn't look into it. I'm not a big day drinker. For a French Quarter hotel, the Monteleone is a wonderful choice.

The hotel is elegant and professionally staffed. It has numerous amenities which make the stay even more enjoyable. The restraint is exceptional. You cannot get a location in the French Quarter that is more conveniently located. The only negative is that I felt the room was a bit on the cramped side.

This hotel was perfect. The location was perfect walking distance to everything. The staff and service was amazing. The Carousel Bar was amazing. The pool was excellent. If I had to recommend, I would recommend adding umbrellas at the rooftop pool as there is a point where there is no shade.

Hotel was clean, central location to everything we needed and they provided plenty of water and coffee for our room. Carla at guest services was very friendly and informative with tours and got us all set up quickly. Out trip went awesome thanks this facilities location and friendly staff. The only thing we had a problem with was the sound of the tv but really we weren’t in our room for too much time. We had a great stay at hotel Monteleone! Thank you
