Let's start with the good. The beds were extremely comfortable, never slept better in a hotel. The staff were very courteous and helpful thank you to all the staff. The bad, stayed for 3 nights, room was never cleaned, no garbage was emptied , coffee not restocked, no fresh towels, very disappointed with that! Don't expect the bar to be open past 10:00, there was no breakfast at all , it is a fair distance away from Bourbon Street which isn't too bad of an idea except walking back at night and all the homeless that you have to step over, we will stay closer to Bourbon next time.

Bienville House is conveniently located to the dining and entertainment of the French Quarter, the River Walk and Canal Street. The staff is very attentive, friendly and helpful. The rooms are well appointed and clean, and guest are made to feel safe and comfortable during their stay.

For starters, we arrived 15 minutes before check in and 2 of our rooms weren’t ready (one double sundeck room booked via Expedia and the other king room directly booked via the hotel). We arrived back an hour later and they couldn’t honor the reservation booked via Expedia, as the room type we booked was no longer available. Thankfully, we did not need the extra room, so we settled for the King. The room was very nice and clean and the bed was VERY comfortable, however, we had a room along Decatur st. directly across a night club and other bars and restaurants. Traveling with a toddler an infant, this was inconvenient as the noise and bass from the music and passing cars, even with a sound machine, was unbearable until at least 4:30AM. They were willing to try and move both rooms to the Hotel Monteleone, but we had a wedding at 7:00 and it was 5:30 at this point. Wish we had been able to have the sun deck room on a higher floor, as we believe this would have been much more spacious and quiet. We also paid more for the sundeck room type and did not receive a refund for the difference in price. Hotel staff was friendly, but you can tell the system they have in place may be outdated or unorganized causing stress on the staff and guests. We stayed here for proximity to the cathedral for a wedding. Not sure if we’d stay here again unless we had another event in that specific area.

Older hotel with expected wear of facility itself. Rooms clean and updated. Staff attention not at the level of the Ritz, which we had to switch from for our last night in Nola. You get what you pay for. In the heart of the French Quarter, very walkable for shopping and dining.

Great location but when we stayed the hot water was not working well. Over two days the shower was only at an acceptable level for 5 minutes. A lukewarm shower is not the worst thing in the world but it is a basic item that I would expect to function.

Loved the hotel and staff was excellent. Location was so easy to walk to almost everything. Beautiful, historic hotel, the only issue was the water in the shower took a long time to heat up and it did not have a lot of pressure, but it was a large, beautiful bathroom with a large walk in shower. Even with these issues, we will for sure stay here again when we come to NO!

The staff was great, but the keys took three times up and down in an extremely slow and hot elevator. We were not the only people to experience this either as we met other people making the same trips to get their keys to work. The only option for parking is to pay 50 dollars for the vallet. Again, the staff is great. The sun deck room just means you share a porch that is also the walkway with everyone else on the wing/floor. Not an upgrade. The room is cute and very boutique like. Not really happy with it overall.
