Located in the Historic Holy Cross Neighborhood of the Lower Ninth Ward, this New Construction Home offers the best of both worlds. Just a block to the Mississippi River, you can walk along the levee to enjoy the eclectic architecture of the neighborhood. About a half mile away is the "End of the World", a picturesque area along the levee that juts into the Mississippi River and offers lovely views and peace away from the bustle of the city. Approximately 1.5 miles away is Musician's Village - a vibrantly painted neighborhood that was rebuilt after Hurricane Katrina to provide homes for New Orleans' musicians.
By Car •13 Min to the French Quarter •13 Min to Bourbon Street •11 Min to Frenchmen Street •10 Min to Crescent Park •2 Min to the Mississippi River •26 Min to the Airport Uber/Lyft would be $10 to get to the French Quarter/Downtown. We also partner with a professional transportation company to provide discounted rates to/from the airport and even luxury shuttle and limo services to our guests!
**There is a $200 security/damage deposit collected 3 days prior to arrival, and returned shortly after your stay. This is done as a $200 hold on your method of payment, not a full charge. Please see the rental agreement (required to be read and signed before booking) for more details. ***
1. The booking guest must have their ID uploaded to their airbnb profile.
2. Please be mindful of the neighbors sleeping. We recommend being quiet after 8:30pm (weekdays including Sundays) and 9:00pm (weekends).
3. While early check-in / late checkout may be available, this must be arranged ahead of time for an extra fee. Unauthorized Late checkouts are a $50 charge for each hour after 11am - a 15 minute grace period is given. Late checkouts MUST be requested before 9PM the day before your departure.
4. Clean towels are a provided amenity. Each guest listed through your reservation will receive 1 bath towel and 1 face towel. We are unable to fulfill requests for additional towels during the duration of your stay. Plan ahead while packing, please bring extra towels if you or any of your guests anticipate needing more.
5. Smoking & vaping in the unit will result in a $500 deodorization fee. Please smoke outside of the property.
6. Unregistered guests and parties are prohibited by local laws and ILLEGAL. Our occupancy limits are set by local ordinance. Any guest found to have had a party or over-occupancy will be charged a $1,000 fee for non-compliance with local laws. Exterior cameras present at the property to verify these laws/house rules are not broken. As of May 2022, Airbnb has specifically banned parties from their units. Violation of this rule will result in a ban from Airbnb.
7. Please do not hang or attach anything to the walls with push pins, tape, etc. or other painted surfaces.
8. Please use our black makeup towels to remove makeup to avoid damaging white linens/towels.
9. If the space is left excessively dirty $50 will be charged for each additional hour of cleaning required. Removal of bodily fluids will result in a charge of $150. Glitter cleanup will result in a charge of $100.
10. Unauthorized pets will result in an additional $250 deep cleaning cleaning fee and immediate request to leave. Pet Boarding recommendations available upon request. Both the owner and staff have pet allergies. If traveling with pets please inquire about our pet friendly units.
11. After you’ve read these rules, please send me a message with the words “yellow kangaroo” it will let me know that you have read the rules thoroughly.
12. Unfortunately, we cannot accept bookings from “Locals” at this time. Locals is meant to include anyone residing within 60 miles of New Orleans.
13. While we cannot receive any mail or packages to the space we will assist with getting packages shipped to New Orleans if needed.
14. Commercial video and photo shoots are strictly forbidden without prior and authorized consent. Associated day-rate fees, liability waivers and copyright contracts will apply if consent is given.
15. Message us for long term stays.
16. Trash and recycling are on Thursdays. Please bring cans to the street the night before.
17. If you use the kayaks, please let us know so we can remind you to return them after use.
18. Please cover all outdoor patio furniture after using them.
19. All of our TV's are streaming, we do not provide any account information, you will have to log into your own. Please remember to log out at check out. We do not have cable TV.
20. RVs / Campers / Trailers are not allowed on the premises.
21. External power outlets can not be hooked up to the property under any circumstance.
22. Should you wish to receive an early check-in or late check-out, please let us know the day before and we will determine if it's possible. We require time to prepare the unit for your stay or after your stay for the next guest and sometimes we are unable to accommodate. If we can accommodate, we will charge $25/hour for the additional booking time. This will also be in place for dropping luggage off or leaving your luggage after checkout time has passed. Payment will be requested through Airbnb after your additional time has been approved.
23. Lost Items: We return lost items for a $75 flat fee. This is to cover shipping costs, along with the time spent to retrieve & mail your item. If you leave anything at the unit, please let us know immediately.
