Our stay at Sommerville Resorts was amazing. Place was so clean and relaxing. Joyce our host was always so pleasant and accommodating. It felt like a home away from home. Location is a quick 3 min walk to Rick's Cafe and a 10 min drive to the strip on Seven Mile Beach. Would definitely recommend.

A beautiful and relaxing place to stay! Joyce was welcoming and knowledgeable, from the moment we arrived Joyce and Demali welcomed me as if I was family. Our private chef made a delicious variety of breakfast foods each morning. Resort/hotel atmosphere was free from excessive noise allowing me to unwind, yet easily accessible to all local activities, restaurants, cliff bars, and is walking distance from the renowned Rick's Cafe. The property has all the modern amenities one would expect. The guest rooms and bathrooms are spacious, beds are huge,clean and amazingly comfortable ! Linens and towels where spotless and smelled clean and fresh! Us guests were commenting among each other about the beautiful property. I felt very safe during my stay as a solo traveler, from the gated parking to having overnight security. I LOVED everything about Sommerville and will definitely return on my next trip to Negril. I highly recommend this property.

Unforgettable stay in Negril

The property is conveniently located close to many of the points of interests in Negril, like Rick`s Cafe. The rooms are in a beautiful historic house, are spacious, comfortable, very clean and stylish. What makes this place outstanding and wonderful is the host, Joyce who showered us with her hospitality, warmth, conversations, delicious breakfast, numerous tips/recommendations and a goodbye hug. Unforgettable stay and priceless value

My 3 children and I arrived at the Somerville to find a boutique luxury resort with all of the amenities to make us feel right at home. Our private transportation was arranged by the resort (for fee) to comfortably transport us from Montego Bay to Negril. We were greeted with refreshing rum punches and lemonade. Check-in was smooth, prompt and professional. We were escorted to our suites to find 5 star accommodations. The Somerville matches any brand name 5 star resort in the quality of the rooms, property and exceptional hospitality. Each room had a beach theme, was meticulously clean and offered a refreshing environment for relaxation. Each suite had sitting area and table, as well as a modern bathroom. Outside there is a private sitting area for each suite. I enjoyed the quiet sounds of nature each morning. It was clear that we had found a hidden jewel in Negril's West End. The Sommerville is within 10 minutes or less walking distance to Negril's famous Rick's Cafe. We went twice to enjoy the music, entertainment and perfect sunsets. The resort rate included a full breakfast each morning, including eggs, bacon/sausage, pancakes or the traditional Jamaican ackee and saltfish. We went to the Negril 7 Mile Beach daily (10 min away) at Margueritaville and returned to our resort retreat, stopping daily at the bakery for fresh patties. We found dinner options within walking distance, Ivan’s Restaurant for cliffside dining. Without hesitation, the Somerville is a rare find!

This property is amazing. It felt like my home away from home not to mention the loving kindness and warmth I received from the staff ( Ms.Joyce & Damali) just to mention a few. Chef Baker made delicious meals so that we could start our day right. All our needs were attended to without any hesitation at all. This is definitely my go to place to stay whenever I’m in West End, Negril. The rum pumch that greets you definitely sets the tone. Just know your stay will be memorable from the moment you arrive.
