The room was fine - it was clean and newly renovated, as advertised. But our first night there the guests in the room below us partied all night. They were talking and laughing so loud that we didn’t sleep at all. Despite my repeated requests to the night manager to get them to stop (first at 1:30 am and again at 4 am), they carried on until dawn. The following morning I asked the day manager for some recompense and although he apologized, there was no consequence for the partiers and no compensation to me. On my final morning I again explained to the manager that our first night was a waste and he offered a 20% discount on my stay. That was not what I was hoping for, but I agreed. When he put the refund back on my card it showed only a 10% discount. I told him I had agreed to 20% and he apologized saying that the discount could only be 10%. I am an innkeeper myself and would have given my guests a free night.
