Bad stay in Monterey, CA

What they show and what you get is not even close to photos! Lamp in room hidden behind to TV, unpluged and cord wrapped around the base, i unwrapped and plunged it in....didn't work Smoke detector disconneted! No Curtains just pull down shade all containers in the bathtub were empty only desk chair All in all not very good! left a day early and they refused to give me a refund

Small rooms and unclean

Rooms were really small. Upon arrival we had to go back and forth 3 times to front desk because our key would not work. Then they finally moved us to another room. We had lugged our 2 young kids up the two flights of stairs and luckily a maintenance guy let us in our original room. We then had to move to another room since the original room key was not working. The bath tub was very dirty and they only gave one hand towel and two small towels for taking showers. No wash cloths nothing. We will not be back.

This property is very sub-par. Not worth the amount of money for one night. The bed frame made a lot of noise and the toilet whistled for about 3 minutes after each flush. We only had 1 wash cloth and 1 hand towel in the room. The room is very tiny and the shower was more of a sprinkle. Won't stay here again. The only nice thing was the sand dunes and the closeness to the beach.

It's not the country inn and suites you expect

This was a dying motel with newer furniture, vinyl floor. The bed was actually ok. Bathroom had rusty fixtures, mildew in the corners, no bath mat. Decaf coffee was all that was provided. We had to go get real coffee. We did not try the breakfast.

Our air condition did not work right, and made a horrible noise. Room was not swept. We only had 1 towel which looked like someone used it. Black out shade was not working right. Only 1 lamp. Which made the lighting in the room very dull. Some of the electrical plugs didn’t work. Room smelled like smoking. We had a much better room last time.

Staff was friendly and helpful. I had to leave the property twice to access the internet to complete work that I needed to do because the cable/internet was out. Obviously the TV didn't work either. I understand that was out of the property's control but no effort was made to make it right. Just "I'm sorry, it's not our fault."

The front desk guy was AWFUL! We got a room that smelled like cigarettes, keep in mind we got a NON SMOKING ROOM, he got upset at us for changing the room & when I politely called and asked for another towel and pillow because the ones we had were filthy he hung up the phone and we didn’t get any pillow or towels. NEVER AGAIN! I wish I got his name we got there 8/30 around 6pm. Terrible staff.

Quiet traffic, but not other staying in motel (not motel's fault). Room was semi clean, continential breakfast was good. Tip: walk across the street through the other motel to get to the beach.. dont walk to the street to the right then down the path..

Jay was very nice and helpful at our check-in. I give him my highest rating. The room, however, was disappointing. The bathtub area was moldy and old. There was dirt in the corners on the floor, it hadn't been cleaned well. The pillows were SO old, shapeless. At breakfast there was only one type of milk, no herbal tea. Doors didn't close properly, lost of visible rust everywhere, and chipped paint. The only thing I liked about the hotel was that it was walkable to the beach.

YUCK!

Our room was disgustingly dirty and unsafe. Stains on bedding, smoke alarms disabled, fire sprinklers also disabled with paper shoved into them. Conditioner/shower gel bottles had been pulled off the wall and not replaced. Filthy floors. Secondary lock torn off the wall with exposed screws. When I tried reaching out to the front desk, there was no one available. Hotel claims to be a Radisson hotel, but IS NOT. Terrible, terrible stay. Fighting to get a refund, but no return calls/emails/etc. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Will be also filing complaints with fire marshal and all relevant consumer protection agencies
