Our property is beachfront, so you are steps away from the sand, sun and ocean! Lay out and work on your tan, swim in the Pacific Ocean, play a game of volleyball or frisbee with the family, or just stand on the shores and fish. There is something for everyone in the family. Our property is located 20 minutes from the beautiful city of Monterey, where you'll find Cannery Row, the Monterey Bay Aquarium and the scenic 17-Mile Drive!

We care about the condition of things. The home was recently repainted and the floors were redone.

The house itself was very nice, and the location was great, very close to the beach. The complex was also peaceful and well-kept. Unfortunately, the biggest issue for us was that the pool was closed for renovations. The pool was actually the main reason I booked this property, especially since we were traveling with small kids and knew they would be excited to swim. Before booking, I specifically contacted the owner to confirm that there was a pool (since there were no pool photos in the listing) and to ask whether it was heated. The owner told me that there was a pool and that they begin heating it on April 1.It was extremely disappointing to arrive, walk over to the pool, dressed in our swim wear, and find it completely empty with a sign saying it had been closed. Had I known the pool would not be available, I would have booked a different property. The kids were very disappointed. I reached out to the owner who stated he didn’t know the pool was being renovated. Thought it was odd they aren’t aware of major construction happening to their complex.

This was our second time renting Erin’s beautiful home, and once again, we had an extraordinary stay!The house is incredibly peaceful, offering a magnificent and unobstructed view of the beach that never gets old. We found everything to be perfect: the house is impeccably maintained, the kitchen and amenities are fully equipped, and the beds are exceptionally comfortable.Erin is a fantastic host—always very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. It truly felt like a home away from home. We can't wait to come back again!

Roomy for a family to stay together. Nice walk to the beach! everything well stocked but very low end on the furnishings, bedding, rugs (old), toiletries. The kitchen is well stocked with spices and basic cooking items. The drive to the area from Monterey is about 20 minutes but if you want a very quiet beach getaway, this is pretty good.

Wonderful well equipped home

We have been staying at various homes at Monterey Dunes for many years. We always enjoy our stay. This particular home has a great view and the kitchen is well stocked. Beds were very comfortable. Very close to the pool and tennis courts!

Great Place to stay

They had severe weather the week before we arrived, and the shoreline access was closed off due to shore erosion. I was unaware of this when booking, but we dealt with it. We learned a lot about California Properties that are built on Sand Dunes, and how quickly the shoreline could erode. I'm amazed they were ever allowed to build this facility, considering the sandy location, and no shoreline protection. Standing on the beach, you can look for miles both directions. Beautiful setting, we were just disappointed at the access.

Monterey Dunes

Monterey Dunes is a beautiful location that is quiet and peaceful away from the hustle and bustle in the Monterey area. It is the perfect location to easily visit tourist areas of Santa Cruz, Monterey and Carmel By The Sea. We loved listening to the ocean from the unit. We watched wild bunnies scampering about the property and ocean front. The view was spectacular and sitting with my feet up enjoying the ocean view from the deck was an absolute highlight of our trip. Sunsets were spectacular!! The unit is well stocked with everything you would need. It was helpful to also have access to an additional helpful item in the garage, specifically the wagon to help transport luggage and such to the unit. That was appreciated to find! The furniture is comfortable and extras of the beach towels (although we didn’t use, but nice to see avail) and blankets while sitting in the living room were nice to add comfort and convenience. Great telescope to catch ocean life and boats out on the water was a great addition. I have a bidet in my own home and when I travel it is a hygiene item I miss, I was surprised and very happy to find the master bath equipped with one. (Should be a standard in the US!!)
