The view from this unit is exactly as shown, and the resort itself is lovely, with multiple pools, restaurants, beach access, and bike rentals. Beach chairs are included, though umbrellas are 35 per day, and food and drinks are on the pricey side. Overall, the resort amenities were a highlight. This is an owner-occupied unit, which impacted our experience. Several power outlets including the tv on did not work, and there were stained washcloths upon arrival. Because it’s an owner unit, the front desk could not assist, so we contacted the host Friday night at check-in and did not receive a response until 3pm the following day. The initial response was not very helpful. It ultimately took two days for someone to fix the outlets and bring additional towels to replace two stained ones. We even had to order an extension cord and blanket to make do, as the pull-out sofa was uncomfortable and only had one pillow and no blanket.Communication was an ongoing issue. I emailed the host a week before check-in asking about procedures and didn’t hear back until the day before arrival. Even if that timing is standard, a simple acknowledgment would have helped. The unit was mostly clean, but for the cleaning fee, it could have been more thorough as there were fingerprints on the balcony door and cabinets. It’s also unclear why the outlet issues weren’t caught beforehand. Ultimately the host did respond to address our issues. The cleaning fee posted online ended up being more at check out.
