Never a good sign when there are orange highway cones in the lobby. Totally horrible and depressing experience. Take my advice and DO NOT STAY HERE. Shabby outdated and scruffy facilities. Hotel is located in an industrial waste land with no restaurants, areas of interest or just people in general. Only the continual, fast moving traffic that is inches from the sidewalk. The hotel restaurant decor is unsightly. The food inedible. The mattress was thin and uncomfortable. Whole thing was such a joke. But its close to the airport so theres that, i guess...lol

Room and hotel were obviously old but clean. I saw others reviews and don't agree. No bugs. Clean room. Hot water. Good pressure. We ate in the Little restaurant and it was fine. There is some renovations going on in lobby. Not 5 star but good enough for a night. Also I was not charged for parking as I left early morning.

Room was not good. The air did not work hot or cold. Amazingly could have used the heat in Miami! Could not get the Super Bowl on the TV. Went to shower in the morning and the handle to turn on the water fell off. It was sheared before I was given the room but they neglected to fix it. The only save was getting another room at 445 am to be able to shower. Did have to take a later bus because of the shower issue. The room I showered in had air that was only on high! It wouldn't go to medium or low and no temperature control.

The hotel was kind of dated and the first room they gave me smelled terrible. I was exhausted but still had to repack and change rooms. The second room was just marginally better but it was 2am and I didn’t feel like trying to find another hotel. The staff was nice and helpful but the rooms are second rate. They do have a fridge and microwave- which is good. The one bed in my second room squeaked every time you moved - but luckily the second bed was ok. I DEFINITELY would not stay there again.

We arrived to the hotel at 1am after calling for the offered shuttle service (that never came) and ordering a taxi. When arriving to the hotel we were informed that our booking had been cancelled. When I showed them my valid confirmation number for the room they informed me the hotel had been over booked. I never received any call, text, email or any form of communication that the booking had been cancelled prior to arriving to the hotel even with having called for shuttle service. The hotel lobby that I had to sit in for many hours well finding a new hotel was gross, the concessions were tapped off with caution tape and closed and the staff was very rude. When I questioned why I revived no notice of the cancellation I was told that it happens sometimes. When I asked for a manager there was not one to be found. The exterior was run down and the sign is falling apart. Don’t let the pictures fool you I feel what occurred was a blessing in disguise that we didn’t end up staying there. I would honestly stay at any other hotel on the Miami airport strip over the clarion after my experience. I will honestly never book with the chain of hotels again it was a nightmare.
