I was given a room that had been reserved to someone else. This incident was very upsetting for my daughter, who is only 12 years old, and honestly, it scared me as well. We arrived at the hotel around 2:00 a.m. after a three-hour flight, completely exhausted and just hoping to get some rest. Instead, we were put in a situation that left us feeling shaken and unsafe. I can only imagine how scared and upset the other guest involved must have felt too because he was sleeping. This situation has never happened to me before!
That night, I barely slept. I kept waking up every hour, worried that something similar could happen again. I did ask for the parking fee to be waived, and while that was granted, I feel that given what we went through, more consideration should have been offered. I had to ask for any compensation myself, which added to the disappointment.
Because of this experience, I now feel hesitant about booking another stay with Hilton. I will think twice.
