Hotel staff was very friendly.The hotel itself looked very nice and had a nice fragrant scent throughout. We checked in on Oct. 23. We were assigned a corner room 422, it so it has two windows. We did not sleep that first night because it was if we were sleeping in the street. We were able to change our room for the rest of our stay to a one that faced the back.The new room was off the elevator but we did not hear any noise. It was quite.
I want to recognize Aliza who works in the coffee shop. She was such a hard worker and still had time to be friendly.
A couple of cons: the first morning we went down for breakfast and was told they were not serving the hot food because the hotel had an event and the staff/kitchen was not available! Apparently the kitchen is in one part of the hotel and the restaurants in another. When you order food they put it uncovered on carts and roll it through the hotel including the lobby and deliver it to the bistro and the Five 55 restaurant! It was kind of a turn off to see this.
Finally the room service was ok. A couple of times they forgot to clean the coffee station. Besides when we got the room there was something spilt on the wall and curtain. Another time they refilled the coffee but forgot the sugar and the coffee cup lids as well as not cleaning the coffee station. Other than these few things it was a pleasant stay. The hotel had events in three of the four days we were there and was busy but the noise did not carry to the rooms.
Clean room but difficult to figure out the fan on the AC, kind staff, restaurant with great service. Conveniently located to East LA College where we were for a graduation
