Good accommodations. The desk in the room had something sticky on it and clearly wasn’t cleaned well. The house of hope is next door and there were about 20 people sleeping on the sidewalk outside and who harassed me when pulling in the parking lot. Though, I did expect more issues.

The hotel is wonderful and price is affordable. Unfortunately for this hotel, because of a recent neighbouring “shelter” of some sort the surrounding area is undesirable (blame the govt) this hotel is great otherwise and I feel badly for their business that they have to endure the unsavouriness outside. I recommend to Book here, parking is safe and hotel is good.,

Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel and room were clean and comfortable. Gated underground parking was very nice, it is first come first served. TV in room didn't work. Breakfast options included cereal, instant oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, yogurts, microwaveable breakfast sandwiches, tea, coffee, juices. Fitness center was spacious but minimally equipped - treadmill, elliptical, dumbells to 30 lbs. There are a lot of homeless folks in the area and people were openly using drugs on the steps next door, but I walked to and from the hotel as late as midnight and everyone just minded their own business.

Many previous reviews spoke to the homeless people lingering about outside. While there is a building next door which I assume is a shelter, and yes, there were a number of them outside, I never felt unsafe. What I didn't like, was that the hotel offers secure parking (underground with a gate), but 4 times during my stay, the gate was fixed in the open position. So much for secure. The rooms, staff and breakfast were all fine.

Be warned

The hotel is located in a dreadful location. It was our first time visiting London so we didn’t know much about the area only that it was downtown, which is typically where we stay on all our travels. This location is sitting next to a homeless/drug rehabilitation centre and it’s absolutely terrifying to see the sites you’re going to see unfold here. In all of my years of travelling the entire world I’ve never seen such conditions happening outside a hotel. There’s constant drug use, addicts slumped over on each corner of the buildings and prostitution. It was truly terrifying, we were never approached by them but was extremely cautious and uncomfortable during our stay here. I will comment on the cleanliness of our room, despite being dated it was quite clean and the bed was comfortable but I would never stay here again due to the location proximity to facility next door
