Great place to stay for a solo overnight trip in the city. I had a single room on ground floor looking out on the front. Only complaint was that the hotel exit door was therefore on the same wall as my headboard. That meant every time the door closed it slammed shut . I know this is part of the security lock but I wish it had a soft close function. Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. I appreciate the room was warm but I like the fact AC hasn’t been installed ruining the features of the beautiful old house. Shower was hot and with plenty of water pressure, no complaints. Breakfast was continental style but plenty of options. The area was ideal for solo travel and it was a pleasant walk to Covent Garden my first afternoon. I walked back around 6:30 pm and it was dark but never felt scared as lots of people around going home etc. The next morning I walked to Oxford St and again after a long day out I headed back to the hotel in the evening. Beautiful area full of lovely old charm.

The room was good and staff were pleasant. However, our room was next to a staff room and we were subject to loud 'chatter ' from about 7am. The dining room was far too crowded with some guests having to stand to eat!

The Hotel itself was charming and in a GREAT location. Easy walks to a variety of restaurants, shops and venues. The staff was super helpful and friendly. So pleased we were able to stay there.

Paid extra to upgrade to the 11sqm room - still got the 7sqm room and when questioned the reception told me there is only one size of single room. The room was nice just very cramped and claustrophobic meaning it was very hot even in the autumn.
