"Very good experience "

"The staff were very nice and helpful. Breakfast was ok especially the sausage and gravy,not so much the eggs. Good coffee. The bed was not comfortable to me,husband slept ok. Raggedy ,stiff,old towels. The shampoo and body wash holders were empty and I was told they were broken,so the gave some little samples. They do use nice stuff when they have it. "

"The hotel was accommodating and close to the attractions we came to Glen Rose to see. The staff were friendly. Loved that my hotel was cleaned daily without asking. Good selection of breakfast items."

"We love the historic feel of this hotel. It's a great retreat from the DFW metroplex - a short ride out to the "country". Lots of antique shops within walking distance. We had a drink in the hotel bar -- an exquisite jalapeno/cucumber margarita! You get an apartment with kitchen for the price of a hotel room. Lot's of shopping nearby. We also enjoyed a couple's massage at the nearby Bath House and Spa."

"First room the door was completely broken and wouldn't unlock. We got checked in at 1:30am and had to leave by 7:15am or I would have left after I stepped on a cockroach that had its own zip code. Sink wouldn't drain. Check in staff was friendly. "
