The property has not been maintained well and has declined since opening, which was when I first visited on a work trip. For my stay last weekend the wallpaper was peeling off the wall, there was mold around the mini fridge, and there was a thick layer of dust in the cabinet that housed the tv and fridge. The bed was very hard, lumpy, and generally uncomfortable. The faucet for the sink was a plastic faucet, nearly identical to what we have in the restroom of our rv. I also completed the recommended online pre check in which promised a faster check in (including a picture of my ID) but the staff indicated that due to shift change they wouldn’t utilize what had been submitted and I had to check in just as if I hadn’t done anything online. I am overall disappointed with my stay and won’t be going back.

We booked our room because it was close to the venue of our event. The staff were super friendly! Check in went smoothly. Our room was larger than expected. The hotel itself is a little dated but is set in a great location. Our concerns: When we went into the room, the entire floor was sticky. The shower had a slope in the middle and you needed to stand on either side and the base to not be standing in the drain. Our bed had a few little black “specks” under the comforter and we found an old sticky price tag in the sheets. So overall: Wonderful staff … needs some work.

This is our 2nd time staying here. We visit family in the area and loved our stay so much last year that we decided this will be our "go-to" each year. Staff are incredible, beds and pillows are comfy, rooms are clean, great breakfast, great location. There is shopping and restaurants close by. And it's close to the highway making it easy to get to our family's home in KC. Room rates a more than reasonable.

Everything about this property is excellent. The views of the trees are beautiful. The piano always playing in the lobby and a drink in the evening make a perfect stay. The breakfast was good but could be changed up a little to add bacon or sausage. We never got to walk the trail in the back, but we plan on coming back. Great job Stoney Creek!
