This hotel lacked of good maintenance. It seemed like a hotel that was about to close it’s doors, poorly managed. The bathroom was very old, the tub was disgusting. It screamed renovation.

Not up to standard.

I was disappointed with my stay at this Holiday Inn Express in Independence. It was pretty dirty. The only way I was able to tolerate my stay was. I had cleaning supplies with me. I cleaned out the tub of soap scum and the nastiness of the bottom of other feet. The tub was not white. It was gray. The corners still had existing dust. The windowsills were as though they hadn’t been cleaned in quite a long time.

Liked the staff. Building and rooms well maintained. Coffee and breakfast options very good. (Hot cinnamon rolls looked good but I was already full.) Dislike: Pool was closed.

This was a nice hotel nestled on a nonbusy street with easy access to the highway. The checkin was quick. The breakfast was very good. The only knock was maybe noise from the laundry room, but overall very good.

Issue with AC making lots of noise. Got a tech to look at it and still didn’t fix it. Asked for new room. All they had was king suite, and they charged me for the upgrade. Not real happy with how they handled the situation.
