So bad the owners should be ashamed.

I stay at many hotels and stayed here for a one night layover on the way back from Maui. It was one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. Arrived at 4:30 and the 2 front desk people could not handle the line of 20 people. We left our bags with the bell desk and went out for a few hours. Came back to a filthy room that smelled like bug spray. Uncomfortable bed and cheap Motel 5 towels. I would not complain this much but it was $400 per night. They should be ashamed. It has a beautiful setting. Someone need to purchase this hotel and renovate it too to bottom.

The hotel is very old and the owners are working hard to remodel it but it is taking a long time. The main restaurant is still closed, but the dining area around the bar is still lovely and the food good. It's at the quieter end of town and about a 30 minute stroll to the main part where most of the shops are but we still like to come here.

Scam

Was extremely dirty and way overpriced!! I stayed there before and was never treated so badly!! Check in was bad as i was not going to take the dirty room they had for me so they charged me more and moved me at my cost, not acceptable!! Then i was charged twice what others would have paid for the Luau from the hotel and was set way in the back, unreal!!! Then rain hit and we had to wait 20 minutes in pouring down rain to only get 50% of our tickets refunded!! We did not even get to eat!!! Do not book this hotel as it is a total scam! N

The Hotel is at a great location of you want to be downtown. Property really needs an uplift it looks worn out and outdated. Staff is ok but not super welcoming. In general too pricey for what you get, and although it is next to the ocean, beach is not swimable and pool is small. There is an ok lagoon where you can plunge but there is no service there and loungers are dirty.
