Staff was beyond friendly and accommodating. Our room was clean and comfortable. They do not clean room during your stay but gladly gave us fresh towels and coffee packs. The lobby is beautiful! Breakfast chairs need cleaned and breakfast did not have eggs or meat (important for low carbers!)but did have yogurt and apples as healthy choices. Pool was very nice. If you aren't from CT, be prepared for marijuana smell wherever you go! Management picked us up from airport but didn't operate early enough on return. They are still upgrading things and we'd definitely stay again.

My husband and I checked into our room and left quickly after in order to get to an event on time. Upon checking in we saw that there was an overflowing bag of trash outside our room. We noticed that the room was not clean: the toilet seat and the wall behind it had drips of excrement on them (poop), the toilet also had unflushed toilet paper and what appeared to be blue flower petals in the bowl, the floor appeared to not have been cleaned nor vacuumed as there was visible dirt and debris on both the rug and floor. The ceiling above the bed was cracked and crumbling cement and water stained, there was a large splash stain on one of the walls, there was also a sliding glass door to the outside that looked to have been broken and replaced with a piece of flimsy hardware screws. We decided there was no way we were staying in that disgusting and unsecured room so we notified the front desk that we were checking out when we returned from our event around 10:15pm.

We had dirty sheets with what looked like blood stains, and a burn mark. The sliding door didnt lock. The curtain covering the door was ripped. I tried to shower and the tub wouldnt drain for over an hour. The staff took about 5 hours before changing our sheets, we had to call twice before they came.

Check in was fine, first room given was dirty, like hskping didn't even touch it, went back to front desk and was given another room. I literally just dropped off my luggage and went to my family's house, came back a few hours later and thats when i really "saw" the room, worst part is when i went to use the bathroom looks as if someone already used it and didn't flush correctly. We had a long day of traveling and were tired. I informed the front desk, first question they asked if i left the sliding glass door open... place is sketchy AF. Crack heads in parking area, looked like working girls in hallways going to rooms and smelled of weed, the side door doesn't lock that someone just walked in after we left. Felt very unsafe. Front desk was professional and nice at least but definitely wouldn't be staying here again.

Hotel lobby was gorgeous. When we got to room it was decent, shower had mold and drain did not drain fast. At night there was a party or something happening in room next door and parking lot. At one point they were all outside smoking and our room filled up with cigarette smoke through the drafty slider. Smell of cigarettes came into room well past midnight. Won’t stay there again.

Re: windsor locks, ct, so center st: amenities as listed through Expedia is too generalized and apparently the hotel does not have or take the opportunity to be more specific to their site. Room ok but tired looking; no in-room coffee; no restaurant adjacent to hotel; staff suggested one within view and one could walk to(I had a cane) but clearly I could see no lights inside or vehicle activity in the parking lot . They could see that as well as I. Staff was polite but not helpful. I pre-paid for my intended stay but checked out several days early. I now learn that all transactions such as refund for days not stayed goes through Expedia and that I have to contact them. I'll figure it out once I'm back home but I do know I'll not do business through Expedia in the future. FYI: experience some issues with plane reservations again due to Expedia not familiar with current information.
