The location of the hotel was extremely convenient. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was clean and attractive. The continental breakfast was good. I was disappointed with the pillows and the mattress. There were no pillows firm enough for side sleeping. I had to use a bath towel to give the pillow some substance. The mattress also did not have movement isolation and moved greatly whenever one person moved a little bit.

The outside of this historic hotel is stunning. I could tell someone put effort into the interior design but I don’t know, it felt a bit generic and sterile to me. I found it odd that the bar was closed on Monday.

It’s a charming hotel but in my superior room the bathroom sink was broken (drain stopper stuck), the safe was stuck locked, the clock radio didn’t play music, there was no USB-c outlet to charge i also couldn’t turn the heat above 75 but there was only one vent I noticed so it was just drafty. The bed wasn’t uncomfortable but i was hoping for better. In the end for the price it was reasonable but I was a little disappointed.

The breakfast was terrible. There was no hot water for tea and the there weren’t enough bagels and the person at the front desk made excuses when I brought this to their attention and said that they were the only person working and that is why they couldn’t bring the breakfast out.

When we first walked in the room there was an ozone machine running which I assume was there for odor purposes but these are very dangerous to utilize in an occupied space so i unplugged it then I noticed there was half eaten take out food left in one of the cabinets which smelled terrible. We had to leave the room and give it a chance to clear. The bathroom was very cold for morning showers and the morning breakfast ran out of coffee and bagels. It is a quaint building with character but could use better oversight in my opinion

This is one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in. It was a short stay, I was in for one night, but from the moment I walked through the door I could tell I was going to like it. The staff was great, the drinks at Max's were well mixed, but the room, wow, just an incredible room and layout. I could live there full time. All of the rooms were huge. Not the tiny little boxes you find in NYC. These we're or felt like) 100-150 square foot rooms. Even the bathroom was big. And we were on the 6th floor so we had great views of the surrounding area. It's a good location too so my wife and I walked to whatever we wanted to do/see. I'll be staying longer next time.
