This is a beautiful modern property. The layout of the room was inviting, the bed was very comfortable and the hotel was so pretty. Staff were wonderful. I highly recommend it.

The Property itself is very nice, however some of the staff was either not trained very well or just did a poor job. Got to hotel at 305pm. Young girl at desk said rooms are not ready yet and it would be 30 minutes to an hour. Went out to my car and came back into hotel at 310pm, this time a different person was at the desk. I asked him about checking in and he checked my in with no problem and gave us our room keys. They have a nice rooftop bar that stays open to 11pm. Went to bar at 10pm. Hostess asked us for a reservation which we did not have and told us they ere not seating for another 30 minutes. I told here we were hotel guests, but she just walked away. The bar was about 60 % full. Another person came up and told us she could seat us. I asked for a table outside. She said none were available. I was looking at two open tables . I asked her why we could not have one of those tables. She said ok and took us to the table. No one else arrived at the bar between that time and 1100, so there were not reservations that were coming in. I ordered the smoked salmon roll and a Bold Rock Apple. The Salmon Roll was really awful and the Bold Rock was a different flavor not apple. Rooms were great.

Use to be good. Too bad!

They had half the hotel filled with JMU students who stayed up until 2pm. Mentioned something to front desk in the am and they blew me off. This has been my go to hotel in this area on biz travel for the last 2 years. After this trip no more stays. Plus they now charge for breakfast which is good but not worth the extra fees.
