Compare Cheap Grand Mound Motel 6

"This place was under construction. Not appealing while they are doing construction. For the price I pay with other hotels and amenities I pay less for more. I was not impressed that it was not noted in Expedia that this place was under construction. I feel if I would have know this I would have booked else where. Was not worth the price for one night. On another note the room was large which was nice. The hot water was lukewarm. Water pressure was nice. With the place under construction the complementary breakfast was not appealing and the eggs/omlet were burnt. The orange juice was not cold or on ice. Gallon of OJ was placed on the table. The hotel has a lot of environmental noise and hear people in the hallways. Not very sound proof rooms. TV guide was out on Tv. Staff were very pleasant and apologized for the unappealing curb appeal and unappealing hall ways. It would be best if they noted when construction is happening on Expedia because when you’re looking forward to a luxurious stay but then are blindsided by construction. I would have reserved elsewhere for the stay."

"Didn't get the chance to check out the pool, but it was satisfying to see that they were thoroughly doing a deep clean on it when we left, and it didn't even look dirty. Friendly staff, clean room, we will stay here again!"

"Room was very clean, breakfast did not disappoint, as I had 3 kids to feed, it was satisfying for all. Our double queen with a pullout bed was plenty spacious for my family of 5! Check in Staff, "Vonna" was AWESOME! Will be staying here again!"

"The guy with the beard who checked me in is a cool dude. There's a lot of wyt trash and some other colors of trash hanging out there. Seemed like people live there or something. But I was told they're not allowed to, they have to kick them our after 13 days so they don't get squatters rights. Anyways, the cops don't really patrol. It seems that pretty much anybody can do whatever they want on the property. Families of dirty vagrants were just hanging out in the parking lot, smoking cigarettes, and they kept trying to talk to me and it was just pretty gross. There is poop all over, dog owners (I hope it was dogs, it could've been the bums) don't pick up their poop. I had three of my dogs with me and I didn't even want them to walk in the grass around the property. It was disgusting. I don't understand why certain people can't clean their dog poop. I do it. Anyways, the room was OK, everything worked fine, it was kind of loud. I would come here only by myself. Not with a kid or with a family. It's cheaper they allow dogs. I felt safe because I carry weapons, but I wouldn't if I didn't have them with me. You could tell a lot of these dudes are just out of prison or going back into it. "
