"Our end of April stay was definitely off season and the property was calm and slow. The staff was excellent, very friendly and efficient. The afternoon complimentary glass of wine was very nice, we even enjoyed ours in the hot tub one afternoon. We booked through Expedia and felt the value was excellent at just over five hundred dollars for three nights including taxes and fees. We were able to walk to the pizza restaurant adjoining the property one night, drive just a couple of miles to a fun Mexican restaurant in Palisade the second night and eat in the tavern at the property the last night. All were excellent. Less than perfect was the fact that housekeeping failed to clean our room one day and the very mediocre breakfast. Very similar to a chain hotel breakfast with reconstituted eggs etc. We figured this to be due to it being off season so we just went out for breakfast. All in all though definitely overall a five star rating. Thank you Wine Country Inn."

"Negatives: Very small room, small bathroom, trains nearby came through twice overnight blewing whistle, breakfast not available until 7am with no grab-n-go option available, A/C was loud & regulating temp was a challenge (continually pulling covers on and off throughout the night), older facility updated with mediocre finishes. Positives: Price, clean, shower/tub, mini fridge w/freezer in room, ceiling fan, contactless digital room entry with code. Conclusion: We will look elsewhere next time we travel through the area."

"Great location with easy walkability to town and plenty of space for 4 guys on a cycling trip. We all enjoyed our time and happily got an early table at Hot Tomato Pizza! Only suggestion would be a new drip coffee maker. "

"I was really impressed with this hotel. The rooms are clean. The pool was nice. I really enjoyed being able to swim to get some exercise during a conference. And I love that they used their amazingly decorated restaurant for our breakfast venue. It was just really nice and felt elevated. The bed was very comfortable in the room, quiet. I had a really good sleep here. The price was really low, so you just never know what to expect. Looking out the window at the other hotel across the canal I could see that they were empty, but this hotel is very full and yet still well run and quiet. Obviously different business plans. I feel very welcomed and really enjoyed this place. Well done."

"The rooms were spacious and well kept. The bathrooms were clean and roomy. The “queen size” beds were definitely NOT Queen size! The beds were tiny and hard, and our toilet flushed like a monster being poked with a stick! Other than that we had a great stay!"

"I thought that the warm cookie provided upon check in was unique. Keeping in mind that they just exited what is known by the locals as the "mud season" the carpets and lower 10 - 12 inches of the perimeter interior walls were extremely dirty. Our room had a strong musty odor. Also, after brushing my teeth before going to bed and leaving my toothbrush in the bathroom overnight, I awoke to the bristles of my toothbrush being a pink shade. Researched possible causes finding can be due to an airborne bacteria. Can provide photos of the toothbrush upon request if needed. I was very disappointed especially as I would have left upon discovering these issues had the room rate not been nonrefundable."
