"Didn't know a lake like this existed right there! It was peaceful and just what we needed for a retreat. The houses are close together but that wasn't a problem for us. Plenty of room to spread out in the house and outside and seating outside was great. The inflatable mattresses that were part of the sleeping arrangements were pretty thin, wish we had known that so that we could have brought our own. However, it was one night so not a huge problem. Plenty of kitchen items (not always a guarantee in a rental) and seating. Loved it!"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Bass Lake. January is certainly off-season for lake living in the Midwest, but we had a great time. The home is well stocked and has plenty of room for a big group. There are a couple of bars/restaurants within walking distance which is nice. Groceries are readily available just minutes away. Top notch experience"

"The cottage was nicely decorated, very clean and came with lots of water toys. Outdoor space was nice but there is no lake view from the cottage. Lake access is past another house on the property and across a street. Not ideal for children. The lake public beach was fantastic for the kids. Lots of clean sand and shallow area. If have older children who ski, this cottage would be ideal."

"Bill was very easy to get in touch with, we had 6 adults and 3 kids (2 teens and a 5 year old). The 5 year old LOVED that he could slide off the dock into the water and it was only up to like mid calf on him. Kept him busy for hours! We rented the pontoon boat and it was a ton of fun! The kids loved throwing the tubes on the back and tubing! We were all comfortable with 3 living rooms a big kitchen and all the bedrooms! The only thing I will say is we had zero service in the front part of the house and the driveway (so if we had to gps a store or anything like that we had to drive down the road before the phone would work) also I was nervous about the stove not being child proof at all and my teen did burn his hand on the handle so I kept shutting the gas completely off and had to light all 4 pilots to use it again. We did cook on the grill a lot though, and it’s natural gas so that was nice! Overall, we still had a great family vacation. I definitely suggest this house because Bill will rent you his boat- there is no rental places around here, not even jet skis. And you will want a boat here!"
