At Chillin Away, you're not staying near Bass Lake.

You wake up right on it.

Bring your coffee into the sunroom and watch the water before anyone else is awake. Throw on a sweater and walk out to your private pier. Spend the morning fishing, take a bike ride, visit Culver or simply sit beside the lake with nowhere you need to be.
In the afternoon, come back for a quiet paddle when conditions allow, then settle into one of the Adirondack chairs around the lakeside fire pit as the sun disappears.

This is the kind of trip where the schedule gets shorter every day.

Chillin Away isn't a giant group house. It's an intimate, thoughtfully designed cottage made for couples, small families and Culver visitors who want beautiful surroundings and a slower pace.
Two true king bedrooms mean two couples can travel together without anyone getting the bad room.
The sunroom keeps the lake in view even when you're inside.
And with approximately 50 feet of private shoreline, your own pier, kayaks, paddleboards and bikes, lake life begins just steps from the door.

Culver Academies is approximately 10 miles away, making the cottage an easy home base for Parents Weekends, academy visits, reunions and special events.
Head into Culver for the day.
Then come back to the lake.
No crowds. No itinerary.
Just cool air, still water and a fire by the shore.

🙌 Need to knows before You Chill Out in Style:

✦ Guest Limit: A maximum of 6 people can stay at the property.
✦ Booking Requirements: The person reserving the home must upload a driver’s license and sign a rental agreement within 48 hours to confirm the booking and for compliance. Rental agreement establishes all terms and conditions for property rental. This can be sent prior to booking upon request
✦ Fire Pit: Firewood is not provided but can be purchased at nearby stores.
✦ Furniture Stays Inside: Please do not move indoor furniture outside or rearrange it.
✦ Parking Rules: No parking on the grass. Campers and tents are not allowed.
✦ Security Deposit: A $250 hold will be placed on your credit card 2 days before arrival and refunded 7 days after departure, as long as there are no damages.
✦ No Lifeguard on Duty: If you swim in the lake, it is at your own risk.
