"Nice common area with bar and seating. Rooms were spacious and beds comfy. Would have been a bonus to have kettle and cups to make coffee in room, but other than that, can’t fault. "

"The room/bathroom was in excellent condition and very clean. Staff were very welcoming and helpful and comunicated in very good english as unfortunately we did not speak italian. Breakfast option was good with a decent selection and timings were very helpful. The only observation not a criticism is that staff in the breakfast area were too absorbed in bringing/taking things from the eating area and lacked little friendliness. Overall it was a great experience. Some areas around have some homeless people but there are plenty of roads leading to the hotel which are nice with lots of shops and restaurants. Nearby train station has lots of option for food/shopping. We enjoyed our stay in The hive hotel."

"Really good hotel, ita airways lost our bads and the reception staff couldn't have been more helpful especially Emanuele who was just brilliant on more than one occasion. Looking forward to returning. This is going to be our go to hotel in Rome in the future. Nothing negative to say about it."

"The hotel common areas and restaurant are stunning. The free shuttle to the airport is also wonderful. The food was delicious and the service was lovely. We found it Extremely difficult to get a taxi to or from the hotel, however. Just to travel 10 minutes to Ostia Antica, we were charged €30. The return was also a challenge and was another €25 after much confusion over how to locate us at the only train station in town. The room itself was functional. But there are almost no electrical outlets. A couple of USB ports were on one side of the bed, but no plug. And no plugs at all on the other side. Could not plug in a CPAP machine. Devices had to be charged in the bathroom. Overall, I would stay here again but would want to book a better room. And I would plan to arrive late without making plans to tour the area. "
