Efficient but very underwhelming

The hostess when we checked in didn't greet us, wasn't friendly, and was more interested in her cell phone than welcoming us to the property. She actually never even said hello. When I asked her if the "business center" (a printer on a table) worked, she said she wasn't sure and didn't offer to actually assist with another solution (ie print something for me, or direct me to the nearest Fedex Kinkos/Staples, etc). There were piles of boxes and trash in corners, the elevator reeked of urine and had torn floor boards (a trip hazard), cigarette butts all over the property despite it being a smoke-free property. The room iteslf was musty and dated. While the room itself was functional, the property seems to have neglected simple customer-facing repairs.

Everything smelled like urine. The shower was dirty. The plumbing was leaking. There was urine pooled in the elevator. It’s like the public urinal but you have to sleep there.

I am writing to formally report a serious health and safety concern that occurred during our recent stay at your hotel on 9/12/2025-9/25/2025 Upon arriving and attempting to park, we were shocked and disturbed to see numerous rats running throughout the parking area, including under parked vehicles. The presence of rodents was not only unsanitary but made us feel unsafe even stepping out of our vehicle. I immediately reported the issue to the manager on duty, who acknowledged the problem with a simple “Yes” and offered no apology, explanation, or assurance that the situation was being addressed. This lack of concern was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. Our experience was deeply unsettling, and it raises serious concerns about the cleanliness and safety standards of your property. I urge you to investigate this matter and take immediate steps to resolve the infestation for the safety of your guests. I would appreciate a response regarding how this issue is being addressed, and whether any compensation or remedy is being offered for our experience.

The property needed maintenance badly. The door from the lobby going outside to the rooms was broken with the key scanner barely hanging onto the wall. The sign on the door said to use the front door. In our room, the smoke detector was removed from the wall, and laying on top of one of the lights, not attached and not working. There was also a drip under the bathroom sink. The outside grounds were littered with rubbish that needed to be cleaned up. Overall, not maintained. We would not go back again.

The property is completely rundown and decrepit. Cracked concrete steps, missing floor boards in the elevator, bug in the sink, soiled linens stuffed into closet, mattress appearing sunken in the middle, broken bureau drawers.

appears to have one ice machine for multiple buildings and often out of ice. No bucket for ice in room.. was told by front desk lady that people steal them so now will have to do without... no plans to replace. remote needed batteries... they had none.. exchanged remotes. elevators smell like urine and have trash in the ceiling grate. Nice breakfast with eggs and meat mon morning but tues morning ... gone.. just continental offerings. Overflowing small trash receptacle right on counter top.. overflowing trash next to food. Trashy property/ parking lot. Visits by police

Room was clean. Had to wait an inordinate amount of time while the clerk set up another customer. Several other staff came and went while I waited, but nobody offered to help other customers waiting on the second computer system. I had checked in on line and just needed the room key. The coffee maker in the room was missing a part so was non-functional. The room key did not work on the second night of my 2 night stay, so had to go down to the front desk and the clerk remagnetized it. The clerk said to keep it away from my phone (the key was never near my phone at any time). The TV had two remotes, one for the cable system and one for the TV. There were no instructions how to make the TV work. I figured it out: turn on TV, go to menu to select the input that the cable box was connected to (HDMI2), then use the cable remote to select channel and the TV remote to select sound volume. Can’t the hotel owner figure out how to program the cable remote to do all of this? Duh! Finally, once the door was unlocked, I had to use my shoulder to push the door open because the door jam was too tight. To close the door, I had to slam it.

Window was broken so it wasn’t secure. Not sure why every single location has the worst plumbing in the universe. Why do you have to flush more than once? There’s no water pressure. The internet is always terrible and the tv wasn’t working properly.
