Terrific…the Room was great, fridge but no microwave.. the rooms cleaned to perfection, pool so clean, across the street from the beach, the service was excellent. The breakfast was fresh with So so many choices, I’d go back again joyfully. Each and every person was incredible, check in check was fast & easy. I’d recommend this hotel. If there was a microwave in the room that would be great, again no microwave. I’d go back joyfully.

The spacious room delivered to expectations- it was perfect! Great bed and just cool enough 23C to refresh from the oppressive heat. Loved the bano. Hotel staff was spot on, did not disappoint. Excellent breakfast buffet. The only real blemish was the slow food service at both restaurants for lunch & dinner. Typically it took two hours. The minibar was a rip off (aren't they all?) A bottle of water was 12mil pesos from the minibar was 4mil pesos at the hotel store, and 890 pesos at the public store next door. This would be a great laid back vacation for those that appreciate peace and quiet.

The hotel staff were kind and personable. The grounds were kept clean throughout my stay and despite being aged, the property is well-kept. Free buffet was bare minimum, just something to fill your belly. As an American who only speaks English, it was frustrating that the staff only speaks Spanish. I had to communicate with them via a translation app. The tv only played Spanish stations. The pamphlets in the room were all in Spanish. No one was there to explain which restaurants were open at certain times. Room service was not available at certain times. There was no one to offer information about excursions etc. The rooms were a little outdated, but clean and comfortable. The shower doesn’t have a full door, so the water just floods on the bathroom floor during your shower. The bed was comfortable enough. They charge you for the beverages and snacks in the room so use at your own risk. The hotel was close to the airport and the tourist attractions and that was a plus. Overall, I would not return to the hotel. I expected more from a Sonesta brand.

We had a couple hicups. The first room, the balcony door didn't lock. The moved us to another door and it was the same issue. They did dix it on the second room. Overall the stay was good. The staff was nice! Didn't care too much for the area of rhe hotel.

Had a great experience here. The property is huge and it’s off the beach so decent views from the balcony and two pools one closer to the beach and one closer to property but still just a 3 min walk on property. Tennis court and the restaurant had an amazing seafood dish, cazual con marisco de Colombia. I had to take one home with me. My room didn’t have strong ac and they quickly found me a better room with normal ac. There was really no complaints. The place is nice and it wasn’t expensive. It’s not the closest to getsemani if you like night life so 22 min uber ride is needed because there is no nightlife in the beach area. But at least you get to wake up to a beach and it’s the only area they have hotels , with a beach front, where you don’t have to take a boat to stay in the beachfront island and not to far from night light.

The pictures aren’t as accurate as they seem in the Expedia page. The ocean is not right in front of the hotel. Even though it is close you still have to walk a good 100 mtrs to get to it and the surroundings are not that nice. Little details in the elevator and bathrooms makes it look like the hotel don’t take care of certain spaces. There is not even a coffee maker in the room. This hotel, which is ok, should be 3 stars

This is the second time I stay at sonesta hotel in Cartagena and it was perfect ! First time with my family kids and husband and the second time just two of us. From the moment you arrive at the hotel everyone is so welcoming! The person that helps you with the suitcase the people at the reception that is so friendly and understanding the person that clean the room and wait for us because we get up late and she was so nice !! everyone of you guys that work at the hotel make our stay feel the most comfortable and safe vacation !!and I need to mention too the people that work in the breakfast area !!!
