The hotel offers a beautiful sea view, and most of the staff were friendly; while some waiters were very pleasant, others were not quite as welcoming. Outside the hotel, vendors ask where you are from, and upon learning you are a foreigner, they charge double or even triple for products, massages, or excursions. Fortunately, hotel staff warn you to be careful, and the police are also always looking out for tourists.

The property is clean but dated..Food is plentiful and tasty Close to Old Town Center.The beach is across the street,public so be aware constant offers from vendors on beach and surrounding areas I understand it’s a Spanish speaking country,but at least at the front desk someone should be bilingual Have your phone ready for translation Overall nice people,had a great time

Its a very old property which is typical as Cartagena is historic. But the staff was very nice and the location is perfect as its in front of beach and a short taxi ride to the old city. The ala carte dinners were all very good and the poolside activities great

Staff was horrible with the exception of 2 people Abel and the bell boy.. they were the nicest people in the entire facility. I would never go again… the rest of the staff seem to have an attitude problem and looked like they didn’t want to be there or help the hotel guest. My first night there my room got flooded with water that came out of the restroom from the shower. The food was not good. I felt like it was unsanitary. I did like that they came and clean the room every day! I expected so much more from this place but was totally disappointed
