Friendly, very helpful staff made the stay enjoyable, and the location is excellent. The room was small but clean and the bed comfortable, with great daily housekeeping. Be aware of steep stairs (not ideal for mobility issues), and allow extra time at check-out since you may need to return the key at a partner hotel. Location Location Location!! The key to this accomodation is Bob, Bob is a legend! Breakfast was fine, you get what you need to eat as you are at home! Room was small but fine and bed was super comfortable. All around Amsterdam it’s stairs so get used to it. Oh and they have cats, I am severely allergic and ended up with a puffy face/lips and have a sore on my lips now but would still stay again. Had a great time

This family-run hotel in the heart of Amsterdam is a true gem. Nestled along the canal in a historic building, it makes excellent use of the space while preserving its charm. Guests are warmly welcomed with a beverage at check-in and personally escorted to their room. As expected in a historic townhouse, the stairs are steep, but the staff are eager to assist with luggage. The complimentary breakfast is a lovely touch, and there is a lovely balcony alongside the common lounge area. We would stay here again without hesitation.

I loved my stay at Hotel Clemens. The location is as good as it good. Just steps from the canals and the beautiful Jordaan neighborhood, and easy access to the Tram and Dam Square. The staff is kind and helpful and the breakfast is quite good. The hotel itself is inside a charming canal house with steep narrow stairs. The rooms are small but nice, and the lounge area is quite nice with a good view to the outside.

Be prepared for very steep stairs. The staff will help with luggage but it still a steep long climbs from front door. The staff are lovely and very accommodating. Breakfast is good and plentiful. Lovely sitting area to sit and relax after a day exploring. Small rooms as expected.

Be warned! When you arrive at the hotel and ring the bell you will be Shocked at the stairway. It is STEEP and Very Long. Do not book here unless you can climb very steep stairs, and one or two More flights to your room. They could not have been nicer and more helpful. Everything from dinner recommendations and reservations to a really nice breakfast. Great location but be aware of the steep stairs
