Worst hotel in Schiphol!!!!

We checked in as normal on Wednesday but that's the only easy part of the entire trip we experienced. After checking in we went to the room on the 3rd floor and found out the AC wasn't working. We called the front desk and was told they would get maintenance out there by Friday to fix it. In the mean time a small fan was brought to the room. The next day after returning from the beach there was a sign on the elevator saying it was out of order. Friday came along and we asked the front desk when maintenance was coming and they told us that the 3rd floor has been out for weeks. So overall no one was coming when we first asked and were lied to. There's been heat advisories during the visit and having our room face the sun we were getting every bit of heat so I went to bed sweating and woke up sweating. Also, got locked out one day and didn't know that you had to press a button to the front desk. The guy told us that he locks the door when he goes to do other things. Lastly this place is far from other forms of public transportation so you will walk more than expected. Overall this was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in and highly recommend you to stay away. P.s. Even after we checked out on Tuesday morning the AC and elevator STILL weren't working!

I feel like having the word hotel in the name is misleading. What’s also misleading is the place advertises they are within 10 minute walking distance from the museums and other tourist attractions. This place is not a hotel, it’s more of a short term apartment complex. It’s located in a subdivision. They only clean your room once after the 6th night and then repeated every 7 days. NO toiletries and if you want more towels they charge $6. The funny part is I was going to give them 5 stars for service, because they gave us one of the rooms early, but I had to argue with the guy downstairs because he was saying the room will be cleaned after the 7th day. He gave up when I told him that I would pull up the email the sent me. When we were leaving, my daughter heard him say to another employee to over charge them, and he doesn’t care. He didn’t realize my daughter was standing beside him trying to turn in the room key-card. In the email I got it stated they have a game room which was old stained couches, a worn out billiard table, a juke box which did not work, a broke TV on the floor, and a mounted TV that doesn’t work. I should’ve done my research, but also shame on Expedia for advertising this was a hotel and shame on the business for pretending to be a hotel. They don’t even have a front desk!!! I want to add they charged me city tax, but Expedia had already collected. The other weird part is I believe they run a shipping company downstairs near the small store or where the

We had a lovely stay at Amrath apartment hotel. We used bolt to get around because public transit is not convenient to get to. Rides into Amsterdam run around 18 euro each way. Laundry is free which was great, dryers were too hot. Room was very comfortable, nice seating, good beds, very clean. There was no dishsoap, laundry soap or shampoo, just bar soap, so bring some. Staff was exceptional, very kind and accommodating. Air conditioning was needed two of the days we were there, it was broken. They gave us a nice fan. Most days were very comfortable without a/c. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much. It was so nice to leave the city and have a quiet night to rest toward the next busy day of touring.

We loved our little stay at the Amrath. While some may feel it was out of the way, we found it the perfect place to wind down after a full day in the city. They were always happy to answer any of our questions and the 24 hour market in the lobby was lovely. If you want a quite place to stay just outside of the city, I highly recommend.

The hotel itself served well enough for our group. The problem started when they took a deposit from us, gave us our rooms, and we went into them. The AC was out in half the hotel, and it was over 35 degrees in one of our rooms. We had a toddler who could not stay in such heat. Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 2 weeks and it was absolutely perfect. Transportation is close, bikes are available to rent, they have all the things you need to cook, clean, and even have a coffee machine so you never have to skip your morning coffee! They have a small food area downstairs for snacks and breakfast in the morning. Communication was always wonderful and we always felt safe and at home when we arrived back to the space. 10/10 highly recommend for short or long stays!

Very clean and quiet hotel. The people at the front desk were always so helpful. I forgot an adapter and one of them offered to bring their own charger from home! I will say this hotel is quite far from transportation. 15 minute walk to Badhoevelaan (not included with GVB or Iamsterdam and is not direct to Centraal) or you could walk 30 minutes to Oudenaardeplantsoen or Baden Powellweg to go intercity. We personally didn’t mind the walking as it was always so peaceful.

Simple but good hotel with nice staff

All in all a very nice hotel with a good price and kind staff. Travelling into central with public transportation was a little difficult but we eventually found out that a tram takes us pretty close to the central after a 25-30min walk.
