The staff was great, warm ,friendly and helpful. We stayed in a two bedroom 2 bath condo with 2 bathrooms. It is a basic , not glamorous, equip with basics for kitchen and bath. Bring your own toiletries as they are not supplied. The beds were firm and made with crispy white sheets! Our con do was spotlessly clean , we were very happy.

Rooms were clean and very spacious, A/C was perfect, very nice patio/balcony with furniture and hammocks. Several choices within walking distance for dining. Didn’t see any staff around except at check-in, but we really didn’t need any services during our stay.

View was spectacular. Very walkable area with some restaurants and shopping. Comfortable and nicely decorated. Clean. Main issue was the seaweed smell which was plaguing the coast while we were visiting. Well, it didn’t bother me so much but it did my companions.

We had a great stay at Del sol. The view is beautiful, friendly staff and you can rent snorkels and everything you need from the hotel. The rooms are clean, bathrooms are a little dated but fine for the price you pay. Hot water is hit and miss but it’s so warm you don’t really need it.

Our room (#301) badly needs a deep clean. There is long standing grime on many surfaces. The furniture is also in bad condition, as is the fridge, cooker etc. We had no hot water for the first 4 days of our stay.

I would avoid Del Sol unless you're staying just for one night. The rooms are microscopic and not well-equiped for the remoteness of the building -- no hair dryer, no ability to clean sand from your feet.

Very convenient location, quiet, budget appropriate, easy communication, ocean view. Not false advertising... What you see is what you get. We even got an email letting us know the seaweed was really bad at the time of our trip and offered to change it if we did not care to experience it. I call that good service. Now if you are shopping for groceries cross over the bridge to Akumal pueblo for half price everything at the local supermarket not near the hotel tourist traps. Enjoy!
