The buffet had very little variety and often looked half empty, with multiple trays left unfilled. The options were repetitive and limited—basically just chicken and fish every day, with no effort to offer anything different. Desserts were even worse. There was usually only one option, and it was low quality. The “ice cream” was a flavorless frozen machine product that didn’t taste like anything. For a hotel of this level, this is simply not acceptable. Food is a major part of the experience, and they failed badly in this area. Everything else at the hotel was decent, but the dining situation alone would make me not return and not recommend it."

"The hotel was fine — not great — definitely not bad — just fine. It was as expected from a resort of the caliber charging $500+ p/n, and worth the cost. The pro shop staff though …. Easily the most unprofessional bunch of screw ups I’ve encountered in all my travels. Worse than any bargain basement Motel 6 staff, this bunch couldn’t do anything right to such an extent that it became a joke to see what they’d screw up from day to day. Pure comedy. It actually made the trip in a sense because we’ll laugh about their incompetence for years to come. My advice if staying and playing here — get everything in writing. From your tee times to the number of players, to the greens fees and caddie requirements, GET IT IN WRITING. Also, go to the front desk after each round to make sure you’re billed correctly and promptly make corrections. Or don’t listen and enjoy years of laughter recalling just how comical their performance was. Either path works."

"The room had a strong and unpleasant odor. We told the desk clerk that we would not be checking in and would be cancelling our reservation. We were told to call Expedia and did so, Expedia customer service was unable to talk to hotel staff as their repeated calls were not answered. We were told to call Expedia again in the morning of the following day. We did so and the hotel still did not answer their phone."
