The National Tickets
Don’t let the name of Brooklyn band The National fool you. The name was chosen to be benign, meaningless, and maybe confusing. However that name conceals a beautiful melancholy which has resonated with fans, critics, and the music world in general over the last decade plus The National has been recording and touring.
The National have been active for over ten years, and their roots stretch all the way back to 1991, when founding members Matt Berninger and Scott Devendorf met at the University of Cincinnati and formed their first band Nancy. While that band tried to emulate Pavement and the underground rock scene of the time, it wasn’t until much later that Berninger and Devendorf found significant success.
Berninger, Devendorf, and three of their friends re-formed as the National in Brooklyn in 1999, and almost immediately began attracting attention with their excellent live performances at Manhattan’s Luna Lounge. As the band began to gain reputation and move on to larger venues, tickets to The National Live performance became increasingly in demand.
The band’s debut album, ‘The National’, received almost unanimous critical acclaim, as have all of their subsequent releases. Their fourth album, ‘The Boxer’, became the best selling album by far, thanks in no small part to tracks from the album appearing in major network television series like ‘Chuck’ and ‘Gossip Girl’.
The National continues to tour, and fans who buy The National tickets know what to expect: a fantastic performance of melancholy yet energetic and uplifting music. The National tickets are available for cheap here.
